   About Silentmanmusic
SilentmanMusic An innovative guitarist, Phil DeMarsh's distinct style is reflected in his personal yet universal songwriting, composition. Vulnerable yet confident, Phil's Exposed vocals sail across a backdrop of intricate soundscapes, constructed over years of study. Perpetually creative, this seasoned artist has a rare and commited obsession with his craft. Inspired by his travels throughout Canada, Phil's urban rooted Songwriting offers a glimpse into his unique spiritual perspective. A seasoned performer, Phil's guitar style is both percussive and melodic which provides a perfect compliment to his diverse repertoire. A fixture in London's downtown community, Phil can be heard performing, at Scot's Corner, and working his craft at the Covent Garden Market. Phil has performed at London's Richmond Tavern, Brunswick Hotel, The Stonehenge(now "Elements"), The Town and Country, The Gravity Club and The Ugly Mug. Featured as part of the Harrington Music Fest, Phil has also given performances at Windsor's Lift Lounge, Hamilton's Pheasant Plucker, Sarnia's Tilting Planet, and at Other Various places across Canada. Phil has appeared several times on the "New Day" program and featured on "Speakers Corner" on the NewPL. In fall of 2002, Phil was introduced by London's mayor, Anne Marie DeCicco for his special opening performance for the Decicco Brothers at Aeolian Hall. Phil has also opened for bands such as the Golden Seals, and for songwriter Veda Hille. As a guitar instructor with over 10 years experience, Phil has an Album of original material which is available for sale at his performances. A vibrant contributor to London's music scene, Phil is anticipating concerts this summer at festivals, restaurants, coffeehouses, and nightclubs.

He's not posting it, because he's hardcore like that, but Phil has a show coming up on August 17th with amazing Japanese guitarist Naoki Jo and a man named Don Adler who may or may not also be amazing. I haven't met Mr. Adler.

It's happening at Vancouver East Cultural Centre, doors at 7 PM, tickets at ticketmaster.ca for $20.

The fact that this guy has the balls to not promote his own shows is testament to how good he is. He doesn't NEED promotion. He's Phil.
