SILENT OPERA est un nouveau venu dans le paysage du métal symphonique progressif français, créé en 2007 par Olivier Sentenac (basse), Romain Larregain (guitare), et la sublime chanteuse Laure Laborde... Au début, ils décident de se consacrer à l'écriture des premiers titres qui constitueront par la suite l'armature du premier album « ACT ONE »... Le projet étant lancé et le style défini,il faudra au groupe s'entourer de musiciens capables de reproduire sur scène et en studio, l'esprit et les ambiances de SILENT OPERA. .. .. C'est ainsi que Jon Erviti (batterie) et Steven Shriver (chant) viendront renforcer les rangs du groupe... En Mars 2010 et pendant un mois le groupe rentre en studio au Laguna Records afin de donner naissance au premier opus du groupe « ACT ONE ». .. .. Le groupe a su trouver son style personnel, sombre avec des éléments de black métal et de musique gothique et un mélange complexe de métal progressif et de musique classique... Deux des caractéristiques principales de la musique de SILENT OPERA sont la virtuosité et les harmonies sombres. Mais le style du groupe doit aussi une grande part de son originalité à l'opposition de la voix pure et lyrique de sa chanteuse Laure à celle puissante et enragée de Steven. .. .. SILENT OPERA is a brand new French symphonic metal band formed in 2007 by bassist Olivier Sentenac, guitarist Romain Larregain, and wonderful former vocalist Laure Laborde... When they started working together, they decided to focus on the writing of the first singles which became the framework of their 1st album “ACT ONE”... The band was launched and they really defined their style. The band soon needed to find great musicians able to bring alive the spirit of SILENT OPERA during shows and in the studio. Thereby drummer Jon Erviti and vocalist Steven Shriver were invited to join the band. .. .. The band entered the Laguna Records studio in March 2010 for a month to record their 1st album “ACT ONE”. .. .. SILENT OPERA succeeded in finding its own dark niche mixing elements of black and gothic metal with progressive metal and classical styles... Virtuosity and dark harmonies are two of the main characteristics of SILENT OPERA... Moreover, the sound of the band also finds a great part of its originality in the juxtaposition between the pure and lyric voice of Laure and the heavy and fanatical voice of Steven. .. .. Release of “ACT ONE” in September 2010. .. After years of creation and reflection about the way it would sound, Silent Opera's first act is being played right now .......
