I miss watching Are You Afraid of the Dark? and I still love Buffy (one of my favorite shows ever)
My new favorite shows are Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Six Feet Under. | | Books | I tend to read things that are slightly twisted...sometimes very twisted. I love books by Neil Gaiman, HP Lovecraft, Terry Pratchet, Douglas Adams, Ray Bradbury, Oscar Wilde, and Poe.
The Dark Tower series by Steven King is really good (though I'm only past book 5), as are Grimm's Fairy Tales, Alice in Wonderland, Harry Potter, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Devil in the White City by Eric Larson, Perfume by Patrick Suskind, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and the Griffin and Sabine series by Nick Bantock.
I also love comics, especially Sandman, Watchmen, Fables, Channel Zero, Nightmares and Fairytales, and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Currently reading Neil Gaiman's Eternals, The Cemetarians, Nightmares and Fairytales, and The Escapists. | | Heroes | Dave McKean (who makes the kind of art I've only dreamt about), Charles Fort (compiler of all thinks anomalous and strange), Joshua Norton (first and only Emperor of the United States...he followed his heart, instead of his head), Martha Stewart and every woman who has started her own business. |
