I am mainly influenced by those who promote positive living in this tiny world of ours. I'm a fan of music before anything else, I write to vent, and Rap to communicate. Music is like math, it's a universal language. My greatest influences in life have been my own family members, from Jail time to Scrubbing floors for the man. This EP has Latin Hip Hop flavor mixed with some Mexican Rap, spitting in English then switching to Spanish. Silenzer has worked in music studios, behind the scenes helping bands performing in Seattle. Not only learning from great musicians, but gaining experience with every task. Expresiones! Will be released in fall of 2009 already with material for his debut LP early 2010 Silenzer is coming no doubt!
Silenzer has been in front of a microphone since the age of seventeen, never taking music classes or lessons he has succeeded in creating his own unique voice in the Latin Hip-Hop game. His debut E.P. “Expresiones” combines heavy bass driven beats and his affinity for catchy bilingual hooks. Silenzer, who at the age of six crossed into the U.S. with his Mother and one of his brothers from Jalisco Mexico, has learned to work in order to excel at anything he does, and brings this driven work ethic to every track on this new E.P.
Silenzer got his start in the music business working in the studio and on tour with Marcelo E. Quinonez doing everything from assistant and audio engineer in the studio, to roadie and stage tech out on the road. He emerged from behind the scenes in 2007 playing shows and progressing his flow in and around the Seattle and Portland areas. Since then Silenzer has played numerous shows in the Northwest market. He now resides in Los Angeles, California where he will be performing in support of his new E.P.
‘Expresiones” shows his growth as an artist and shows the world a fresh new voice in Latin Hip-Hop, surely an artist to keep your eyes on!
