   About Silhouette Poetry
Hi, I'm Silhouette, and this is my "other" profile. You can find out more about me, and contact me, on my main profile.

This page is just so I can post some poetry. I hope you like it.

The music is courtesy of my wonderful and talented friends, and I am very grateful to them for wanting to be involved, and consider myself very lucky to have worked with such talented people, especially on something so esoteric.

I'm 26 and been writing poetry for as long as I could write.... I come from Scotland originally and now I live in L.A..

Special thanks to these wonderful and talented people.... Gaz, John Faill , Matt Harper.

If you want to contact me, probably best to do so on my other profile:

Prayer For A Friend
----------------------

I sent a prayer to God today
Because you are my friend.
I asked that He bring your problems
Abruptly to an end.

I prayed for resolution,
And for all your trials to cease.
But most of all, oh friend of mine,
I asked for God to bring you peace.

one tear falls
and the world is healed

one tear falls
and your love is sealed

one tear falls
and the layers are pealed

one tear falls
and your beauty revealed

one tear falls...

(please see my blog):
TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001

Where traditions are not so rare;
    Sea, country and works scent the air;
A multitude of monuments,
    Planted tubs and patterned pavements.

The longish pedestrian malls;
    The remnants of defensive walls;
Historic buildings are a gauge
    Of the respect for heritage.

Wheat, rape and pines in the fields;
    Estuaries guarded by shields;
Long sandy beaches and wide scenes;
    Romantic-ruin go-betweens.

Rivers in parts licked by trees,
    Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries,
And crossed by practical delights -
    Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.

Fine churches headed at Durham;
    Football kits ad infinitum;
Kept castles - one for study;
    Masonry behind masonry.

And, with moulding-works out that way,
It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

Seeing the oneness of life, and experiencing this with no Self in the way to distort it, is so very different to how the mind tries to project it. The mind literally has no idea how “it” truly is from an experiential perspective. It is always so much more simple and down-to-earth than the mind could ever imagine or comprehend.  The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us. When our focus is toward a principle of relatedness / oneness and away from fragmentation / isolation, so powerful is the light of unity that it will illuminate the whole world.

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(please see my blog):
WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN

Once drove an old sedan, up north,
From a place in Sydney to Cairns;
Then to Kuranda I went forth,
By train, to look without set plans.

I browsed through the trendy market,
With fresh fruits of tropical kind;
Walked to the creek through lush thicket -
Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.

I dined in a scenic cafe;
Then, outside, as I wrote for yen,
Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey,
You go walkabout with your pen.”

Request or question, I don’t know -
Assured voices, elderly men.
That’s now several years ago,
And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

Hi Silhouette! I'm not a poet but I appreciate writers of all ilks and I'll read yours!

I'm a writer as well, but it's more in the comedic/ironic genre.

Did I really use the work 'ilk' in a sentence?:)

Contiguous stars, striped, grow into one
As We walk toward summer skies
Streaked with mackerel slithers’ shining obliviously
Measured mystical moments glitter against soft taking
Our stems bearing fructifications
As we hover and sail above earth’s dear matter
Led by the girl’s silver twisting beam
Liquefied by our owned heat of beating rhythm
Shedding sparks into trails of pulsating high heart
Transpierced, transpired with each others will to be
Owned, possessed, intertwined together as we save our laughter
To unity, the constitution of our whole
Flashing brilliant and deep, we loyally cry our forgotten voices
Locating into orbit which cannot contain our glory
Flight’s fight is  not made, opening passages gently, fingers roaming
Qualifying lust’s tip, needing and bleeding
My veil lifted, I capitulate feelings gifted and won by us
Into glory’s splashing sea of raging fires
Tempered not , confessing all we flow together flying, being all
To one another, forever blessed
