Bukkake Princess formed as a group of 3 of the most sought-after bedroom musicians of the 2000s. Prior to the band's formation in 2006, the members of Bukkake Princess were regulars on albums by the likes of Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, Boz Scaggs, Sonny and Cher, and many others, contributing to many of the most popular and critically acclaimed records of the 2000s. Guitarist Thomas J. Bass rose to fame after having co-written and produced Boz Scaggs' Silk Degrees album. Having played on many sessions with drummer Murray P. Borridge, the two began to seriously discuss the possibility of forming their own band. They brought in bassist Nickolas Perkarsky, having played with him on the road with Boz Scaggs. A serendipitous meeting between Guitarist Thomas J. Bass esq and Bassist Nicholas Perkarsky in a Melbourne music store led to a song-writing partnership that continues to this day. As O'Hara from Macleans magazine phrased it, "Bass was looking for a singer, Perkarsky was looking for a route to musical respectability, and the two hit it off immediately." The pair began writing songs together and recording demonstration tapes.
