About me:
I have been working with art glass for over 16 years. It was a choice between a pottery class and a stained glass class. Guess which one won out! I quickly learned that I wanted to work with glass as a profession. I got a job with a woman who owned a stained glass studio in Downey, CA. I learned a lot from her and vise versa. She sent me to a glass fusing class so that I could teach her how to use her kiln and we could both benefit form the resulting art form. I did just that. Since then I have been working as an office manager at a glass studio and working on my glass in my spare time. Until last year when my husband's retirement allowed me to also retire to the mountains and enjoy free time and the greatness of nature. Now I enjoy both forms of glass art. I find that I am always striving to create new ideas in both mediums. Right now my interest seems to be leaves. I am using leaves in several projects for my fused glass - leaf ornaments, leaves on bowls, on frames, on boxes, etc, etc. Their beauty continues to mystify me.
