About me: Silver Age Books is a scrappy little publishing house, struggling against the odds to makes its dreams come true! Nine years we've been at this, nine long years of wishing we'd picked a more distinctive name!
Every two months we publish an issue of the most amazing magazine of our times, Theaker's Quarterly Fiction, full from start to finish of the kind of adventure, boldness, lollygagging and cowardice that can only be found in the best of genre fiction!
Below you can see a selection of the brain-bending images that have graced this publication, but visit Silver Age Books for the full picture!
Who I'd like to meet: Imagineers! Speculators on the cliff face of fantasy! Adventurers in the realm of the imaginary! Magicians in the art of fiction! Writers, artists, musicians, film-makers!
Don't know if you guys might be interested in this off-beat writing competition and/or in either attending or sending some promos down to this speculative fiction gathering in London in a couple weeks?
Some gave None, Some Gave Some,, and some, the bravest of the brave, gave all. Thank you. While having your cookout, don't forget to remember those brave in your thoughts and prayer, for without them, we would not be the great country we are today.

It was very nice to meet you. Tried reading your mag on the train last night, but there were some very drunk people singing songs about defecating on WBA, so I'm going to sit with a nice cup of tea and plate of brownies and read a bit more now. Keep up the good work!
Are you interested in audiobooks? I was wondering whether you had a minute to check out my shortstory “Sofia in the Sand”. You can listen to the narrated text of the story on my profile. If you hate german accents ;) you should read the story in my blog, just a mouse click away...
The german version of “Sofia in the Sand” originated as the result of a writing competition of the travel section of the “taz” (a German daily newspaper) that appeared in the concurrent anthology of beach stories (“Strandgeschichten”) by Hans Schiler Publishers. Also on the literature portal “Titel-Magazin” as well as in “Footage – Magazin für Fußball und Popkultur” (a magazine for football and pop culture). What would one call something like this? Perhaps a mini audio book or an audio short story. Cheers, seb.
“So compassionate literature can be! A beautiful miniature story with a big final, clearly written. Light – and slightly melancholic.” (Editorial department of the “Titel-Magazin” about the german version of “Sofia in the sand")
