About me: Silver Boomer Books came about by accident – or perhaps rather – by incident, out of necessity. In an effort to produce a product exactly as we envisioned it, we four women founded this small publishing firm in October of 2007.
The original idea was one book. A collection of short stories and poetry about the baby boomer generation. This has expanded and blossomed further, as book two is tapped for July publication, and book three of the series is slated for Fall 2008.
The Quartet, as we’ve come to call ourselves, is made up of Ginny Greene, Becky Haigler, Karen Greene and Barbara Rollins. We are writers ourselves, (each writing, at times, under a nom de plume) as well as co-editors, and publishing partners.
The road we've chosen to traverse has been interesting to say the least; a learn-as-you-go process.
Book two, Freckles to Wrinkles, is a breeze in comparison to our first endeavor... the scrunching, swirling, stirring, and eventual launch of Silver Boomers – a collection of prose and poetry by and about baby boomers. (can be purchased online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and on our website SilverBoomers.com)
We have learned so much…about ourselves, our ambitions, each other, publishing, and push, push, pushing until we achieve.
We do not believe in deadlines. Rather... we set goals!

Thank you for the friendship. As you can see, I am a writer promoting my work on myspace. I have a fiction blog where I post short stories as a way of staying in touch with fans and to give potential new readers a chance to read some of my work. It would be very cool if you'd check it out.
Thanks for the friendship! Wishing you oodles of success, happiness...and most of all, a good book to read!
