What started out in the middle of the night years ago turned into a band which made a record..... "all grimy and warm.....moody and morbid lyrical warnings delivered in murderous strains....." Silver City Highway have released their debut album Everything Is Breaking, recorded by Aaron Cupples (The Drones, Dan Kelly), through Green Media/MGM Distribution. Renowned for their rock, psych and country lineage Silver City Highway are a seven piece outfit with a big Australian Rock’n’Roll heart and a Melbourne soul.
"Cosmic-country, space-jam, wig-out slowly, blues-folk, junk-rock, honest, missing… a fair, formidable songwriting voice, wanna stay. Visceral, brooding - utter mess - gurgling flashes, intense, coherence, heart, munted, pure and beautiful." Comprising members from SubAudible Hum, Redfish Bluegrass Band and The Union, each member brings in their own flavour making The Highway one of the must see bands in the country. With the help of Aaron Cupples (The Drones, Dan Kelly, James McCann's Dirty Skirt Band and The Alpha Males), the album was recorded the old fashion way, arranging microphones, amplifiers and instruments to best capture the tones and subtleties that the band are renowned for: epic rise and fall arrangements and quiet gentle heart felt male ballads. Once again I have a favour to ask of everyone out there in the MySpace world, and I’m sorry because I know these things can get a bit annoying, but every vote counts, and I am happy to return the favour if you need me to vote or rate anything of yours, so… if you get the chance could you please rate my new song “Million Miles Away” on Triple J Unearthed?

We got some new tracks up taken from a beer-soaked sunday many moons ago for your listening pleasure. Also, have some spam. Love to see you one of these afternoons...
G'day Come on down to the Tote on Sunday the 27th of September to celebrate the end of another Footy season. The back line will be ably defended by Gruntbucket. Coming off the bench to take their position on the wing are Dirty York. Winning the ball at all the stoppages will be the mighty mid field attack of The Get Go. They'll send the ball rocketing toward the fantastic forward line of Clinkerfield who are sure to kick a swag of goals. There'll be plenty of snags on the barbie to help with the hangover.
