Silvercord is the ethereal/space rock/dream pop/ambient project created to emulate the states of consciousness found between sleep and dream. With rich, swirling drones, alien atmospheres and haunting melodies, Silvercord intends to open the gates of the dreamworld and immerse the listener into undiscovered countries of the mind at times ethereal and atmospheric, and others beat driven and loud..sound is our canvas.
Silvercord was formed in the autumn of 1999 by Michigan natives, Geoff Nostrant, Ken Ball and Joe Klowski at their collective Studios. Inspired by the music of such bands as Velour 100, Slowdive, the Cure, Dead Can Dance, Hammock, Steve Roach the Autumns and countless other sources of
inspiration(music or otherwise). Silvercord dares to deviate from pop music culture to cross into the mind set of listeners who wish to make an aural expericence their own.
Currently Geoff Nostrant is creating music at the studio in Seoul, South Korea. Branching out and learning the fine art of production, Silvercord
is bring its ethereal nature into different dimensions of music
