Silverdrop came alive on the Portuguese island Madeira late 2005. Bjørn Skjeslien moved there to focus on writing songs and curing his heartache but only found cheap booze,constant sunburn and new girls to mess up his head before he met Dieter Pereira and showed him some of his demo..s that he recorded with X-Queen of The astronauts in 2004. The two of them got together a band with Helder Goncalves, Antonio Santa Clara Gomez and the passionate Hector Teixeira. It was supposed to be a one off thing but continued into a strange adventure that ended up in the release of ”Kraka-Boom!” late 2006 a year after they started to rehearse in the middle of a banana plantation...
In 2007 Silverdrop moved to the lovely village called Akkerhaugen in Norway. The year included several line up changes, odd gigs and big money problems but in the summer 2007 Silverdrop released their best work so far with the single "Drown her" with "Dig her grave" as a b-side. The songs were recorded with HP Gundersen at Gjøa studio in Bergen. A very special recordingsession with a very special man...
In May 2008 Silverdrop played two gigs at the legendary Cavern club in Liverpool and in the summer they played at the Indietracks festival in Derbyshire. They were also made demo of the week by the Seattle based ” Indiepages” wich gave them lots of cool attention in the U.S and lead to airplay on different radiostations across the U.S and the song ”Drown her” has appeared on three different compilations released in the U.S this year.

lost.minds sind eine seit 2004
existierende, innovative junge Band aus Jena und Berlin, die mit einem
Spagat aus Electronica und Indie-Rock versuchen, eine Momentfotographie
von Eindrücken und Emotionen ihres Lebens in einem Klangbild
festzuhalten.
Die fünffache Instrumentalbesetzung summiert sich
zu einem elektrisierendem Klangerlebnis, dass live schnell zu einem
schweißtreibenden Abenteuer zwischen verschiedenen Sphären führt. So
unterschiedlich wie vielseitig sind ihre Songs: mal laut, mal leise;
Schlagzeug und Bass treibend, dann wieder schleppend; atmosphärisch bis
tanzbar – all das führt zu einer fortlaufenden Energie im Zusammenspiel
der jungen Musiker und konfrontiert den Zuhörer immer wieder aufs Neue
mit Überraschungen.
Die Fünf bewegen sich in einem Klangdreieck
zwischen wirrer Gefühlswelt, Träumen und skandinavischer Kälte, das in
herzerwärmend sehnsüchtigen Vocals, bewegenden Texten, verspielten
Gitarrenklängen und verträumten Synthesizern seinen Ausdruck findet.

An diesem Freitag ist Vinneyman in der Trofa zu Gast, der mit Titeln wie „The Good, the Bad and the Ugly“ oder „Care for real“ schon einiges Aufsehen erregte. Anfangs noch als DJ unterwegs, ist er heute einer, dessen Musik auch andere auflegen können. Seine Songs tragen die Einflüsse vieler verschiedener Musikrichtungen. Dazu gehören neben Reagge Roots und Culture auch Elemente des HipHop. Vinneyman singt über seinen Glauben und die Menschen um sich herum und schafft es den Vibe des Riddims gut zu treffen. Seine Texte sind klar und verständlich. Das Feeling seiner Songs gehen recht schnell unter die Haut. Mit seinem eigenen Label, Vibes Sensation Records, sorgt der Erfurter nun auch in seiner Wahlheimat Leipzig für frischen Wind.
Yes everything's going well at the moment. I have recently acquired a 12 string electro acoustic guitar and intend to use it on new material I am currently preparing to record. All I need now is a decent capo (preferably metal) and I am ready to record.

Det 12 manns store Elverumsorkesteret med Balkansound og patent på Gangsterpolka , har denne gangen kastet seg på Mariachiompa genren, hvor den Mexicanske Mariachitropmeten kommer til sin rett.
Ompakaras fele høres denne gangen ut som en Marimba , banjoen er bytta ut med stringswing flamenco gitar, og det trente øre vil høre et godt gammeldags 70 talls stueorgel vugge med.
