Silver Gospel Runners are an ever expanding group of Cardiff musicians playing vaguely eccentric, whimsical indie pop. They are definitely not a defunct 18th century message carrying service for monks studying ancient ecclesiastical texts.
They write songs about lighthouses, toy robots, waterborne diseases the flora and fauna of the southern hemisphere, dinosaurs, casinos and compass points.
They play all their own notes and sing all their own words except when they borrow them.
Sometimes they like playing dominoes and chasing after butterflies.

Experimental Dental School come from Portland, something of an indie-rock haven, and make a complex yet accessible, sing-songy yet gnarly hoedown for fans of DEERHOOF (who they’ve toured with), MELT-BANANA (who they’re shortly to be on a split EP with), LES SAVY FAV, DEVO, EX MODELS and the like. Hey Hey Hey Hey... really love the sounds coming from your page. Do you ever fancy a gig in Northampton in 2010.If so please let me know.We don,t pay much but we treat bands with the respct they deserve and love promoting unsigned bands,
So who are we.. here goes ..
Hi Hi Hi, hey thanks for linking up with The Boiler Club and love the sounds coming from the depths of cyber space. Thank God for technology that’s what we say.
Myspace has enabled The Boiler Club to listen to so much great music (and some not so great but hey… that’s always been the way), we love it and we have booked so many fantastic bands through this medium.
So who are we? Pete and I are two ole geezers (really) who are still out there spinning tiptop tunes and hosting a once a month night promoting unsigned bands at Northampton’s legendary Labour Club.
The tunes are as diverse as Motown, Punk, Funk Ska, Jazz, Alt Country; Clash inspired Rock & Roll. Blue Note jazz, Blue Beat and classic soul.
On any given night expect to hear a mixture of present-day and classic sounds and even some brilliant 78s
Our policy for The Boiler Club is absolutely translucent and we never ever charge on the door, we never make any money, and we take 10% of bar returns and pay the two bands and a few beers for guest DJs.
The ever-reliable Mr Andy Skank always sorts PA, and we arrange the press, flyers, and we write reviews.
If you were ever interested in playing in Northampton, including guest djs. It is the second Saturday in every month .We kick off at 08.00pm –12.00ishThe club holds about 120-50 maximum and its great.
oooooh... I love robots! I was not aware you were in a band! Your music is very pretty, reminds me of the Crimea who I was also very fond of. You playing Bristol any time soon? If you play I will come and watch and smile x
