Sean Lennon, Elliot Smith, Anna Ternheim, The Beatles, Wilco, Feist, Ben Folds, The Decemberists... Who do you think, let us know and we'll add your opinion to the roster.
The band formed in late 2005 and since their commencement have been nothing short of busy. In the summer of 2006, a mere 6 months after their formation, the band spent a three month stint in Weed, California recording their first full length album with producer Sylvia Massy-Shivy (Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, Johnny Cash). A short month after their studio time, the band was placed out on the road and has since played an estimated 100 shows, notably two sold out shows at the renowned Cafe Du Nord in San Francisco, Ca. In the first two months of 2008 the band will be featured in two major motion pictures (songs "Baby and Bottle" in "The Hottie and the Nottie" starring Paris Hilton and song "Longer" in "The Year of Getting to Know Us" starring Jimmy Fallon, Lucy Liu, Tom Arnold and Sharon Stone), and are set to continue their rigorous tour schedule. Finally Silver Griffin will be heading into the studio to produce their second album sometime in late 2008. We hope you enjoy our music, and please let us know.
Unfortunately Liam has left the band to pursue other interests ... however...
The Band has recently added a new lead guitarist and a new female vocalist/keyboard player and are working on thier next album... stay tuned...

"Silver Griffin is composed of three extremely competent musicians, the kind who turn toward one another and half-smile after the execution of a particularly tricky harmony or a successful groove."-Ben Richardson, SF Bay Guardian
"[Silver Griffin is]... notable mostly for the meticulous slickness of its composition — airtight, but not quite suffocating."-Ben Richardson, SF Bay Guardian
"Talented front man Liam McCormick has written a set of highly listenable songs onto which his powerful yet smooth vocals glide effortlessly over and in the process showing a skill and confidence rarely found in such a young stripling of a vocalist." -Eddie of www.cdreviews.com
