About Silver Rocket

We began DJing in Cambridge at the Q Club in 1997 after blood money from Rachel getting horribly run over bought us a pair of decks and a mixer. SR started as a regular monthly club night in July 2000, Upstairs at the Garage following a gig we did for stupidcat the record label we "run" a few months before that. We most recently released a compilation of bands who had played the first 100 SR shows, in a strangely circular way. You can get that from us for a tenner. Bonza!

After spending a couple of years at the Buffalo Bar on the third Friday every month we are very pleased to be returning home Upstairs at the Garage now it has reopened following a full set of new furbs!

We really really like playing records and are happy to do so at any gig where the bands are good so please don't be frightened to ask us or feel like you have to pay us to do it (although would never turn down free beer let's be honest). We put good bands on at our shows. If you join our mailing list on our website or using the form below you will get in cheaper for all our shows, plus a few times a year we do free shows for members.

You can also see who we had on in the past and who we have coming up in the future on the website. One day I will update the list of the records we play at clubs on the blog on this page. Just don't hold your breath.

I am still running extremely behind approving bands as friends so please be patient, and hopefully I will catch up one day...if you fell off the bottom of our request list because i've been exceptionally useless recently, please go ahead and try again sorry! .. .. .... ....
