Sounds Like
The dark corners of your psyche, a hoedown in your noggin and all places in between.
Silver Spurs have been wrenching the hearts of south Wales gig-goers since the autumn of 2006, using a special combination of banjo magic and three part vocal trickery. Influenced as much by the hardcore lifestyles of the country greats as by their music, Silver Spurs are genuinely living what they sing. Ellie even sleeps in her country-lady boots. A collective dictatorship of songwriters who sideline under silly names like Zumbar and The Gentle Good, the band mix up the best of Appalachian bluegrass, Bakersfield honkytonkin and sweet Nashville harmonies with a distinctive Cardiffian dark sense of humour. If you find yourself hosting an occasion that requires both hilarity and despair, or you just want the closest thing you’re going to get to a hoedown in the deep South (of Wales), we'll play for payment of any kind, as long as it either tastes nice or makes life more interesting.
Upon witnessing Adam Weiner (a.k.a. Ladyfingers) the discerning gig-goers among you may liken him to fellow NYC eccentric Thomas Truax. As a fireball of a one-man-band, Ladyfingers plays guitar whilst simultaneously hoofing his electric stompbox and performing effortless vocal acrobatics. His style swings between experimental and rockabilly with the diversity of Tom Waits, and the jaunty rawness of Captain Beefheart. Prepare yourself for lunacy, intelligent wit, and a damn good time! www. myspace. com/ladyfingersband
I love you Spurs and we haven't spent enough time together recently! I am going to Scotland this weekend in my quest to become minority language pin up boy of the Celtic West. Will you vote for me? Thought not.

Unbelievably a year has passed since we lost our dear son. Hope one day the pain will go, leaving only good and proud memories. Just a message to all his many friends, please remember him today, if not any other time, and raise a glass to his memory.
