"The tree that moves some to tears of joy
Is in the Eyes of the others only a Green thing
that stands in the way.
Some See Nature all Ridicule & Deformity,
& by these I shall not regulate my proportions;
& Some Scarce see Nature at all.
But to the Eyes of the Man of Imagination,
Nature is Imagination itself.
As a man is, So he Sees.
As the Eye is formed, such are its Powers."
William Blake.

Love floods the tree of
our blood like a sap
and distills its strange odor from
the seed of our physical ravishment:
the sea enters us utterly
and the ravenous night,
the soul veers out of plumb, and within you
two bells sound in the bone
and nothing remains but your body's
weight on my own, another time spent.
-- Pablo Neruda

The Lovely Night.
Now I leave this little hut,
Where my beloved lives,
Walking now with veiled steps
Through the shadowy leaves.
Luna shines through bush and oak,
Zephyr proclaims her path,
And the birch trees bowing low
Shed incense on her track.
How beautiful the coolness
Of this lovely summer night!
How the soul fills with happiness
In this true place of quiet!
I can scarcely grasp the bliss!
Yet, Heaven, I would shun
A thousand nights like this,
If my darling granted one.

Here is a wee boat sitting in the wind. The storm unfolds.
Lightning
plays about the edges of the clouds.
...
..and a young cow under the summer morning moon, in deep cool shadow...
The sky to the north
is placid,
blue in the afterglow
as the storm piles up.
It is a flower
that will soon reach
the apex of its bloom...
...as the little birds fall silent in the woods,
under the silver apples of the moon, the golden apples of the sun...the only secret is in the sunlight, sacred to the sky.
The mountain ponies prick their ears, when the earliest stars began to move along the edges of the hills...
..beneath the trees or the glimmering lake, there came a pause of silence, then a gentle shock of mild surprise
....but what we feel is the wind in our faces, the pattering sound of sheep pass by in the snow - flock of thoughts, shivering, desolate, out in the cold.
The sea, which no one tends, is also a garden when the sun strikes it and the waves are wakened .. a tremulous delight.
My eyes already touch the sunny hill. It has inner light, even from a distance.
.....I have a lovely homeland, the oak trees seem so tall and the violets blow so sweet. It is like a dream.

Hi Lesley! I just read that comment about Lykke Li. Lucky you saw them. They played Montreal not too long ago but I was unable to attend. I'll check their videos. I saw new paintings from you on Facebook. They're georgeous! It's also great to see your work in bigger scale! I hope you're well!
Hey Lesley, Glad to hear the new stuff meets with your approval. I hope life is treating you exceptionally well. We should have a couple of new releases coming out over the next 6 months or so. I’ll keep you up to date with all the goings on. X
I would say the previous poster has a rival for the 'worst, most unresponsive myspacer' title, sorry about that! Hope you're well, happy and hoppy, not to mention loving this Springy action. Is it just me or are there about 5 million more blossoms this year? The view from my window is resplendent, must get a piccy.
We did indeed have massive fun zipping around Europe in a Transit van and made a lot of lovely new friends. This really is the life. And ooh-ooh! Do keep an eye out for some HOT Gnod news. I'm dying to tell you, but I'm sworn to secrecy for the time being. I'll tell you as soon as I can, so you can experience it too...
Hej Lesley. You left a comment on one of my photies back in March and I’m only just getting back to you. How rude! As always it is a pleasure to stop past your site and say howdy. Just what I need for a Friday afternoon.
Anyway, much has changed. We’ve got a new drummer and have been gigging quite a new (dare I say heavier) sound. We’ve also left our label and have a barrage of new stuff in the pipeline. Will update you in a couple of weeks. I squeezed out a new tune - up on to my space this afternoon. It’s the first of the new tunes for the next EP. Have a looky see/listen and let me know what you think. Much love from your worst most unresponsive myspacer. X
Merry Christmas, Lesley. I hope you had a beautiful, restful, spiritual day. I am doing well .. think about you all the time. Big hugs and love from across the seas!
Mmm, cosying by the fire - an appealing prospect to one with a boiler that doesn't! Never mind, I'm warming my fingereens on the very idea. Mmm... Hope you're well had a good eve of, and will have an even better All Hallows' Day! X
