  • Movies

Out-there psycho thrillers or unheard-of foreign flicks and B movies. I really like old martial arts films in general, especially Shaw Brothers productions, and I adore bad British Kung Fu dubs from the 70's and 80's. I dig anime and I'm slowly acquiring a geekish education in Asian animation.

Fave psych thrillers: White Noise, Poltergeist 1, 13 Ghosts, Stephen King's Rose Red
    B-movie horror flicks: Alucarda, Necromantick (1 & 2)
Martial arts films: One-Armed Swordsman, House of a Thousand Daggers
Bad dubs: The Silver Fox, The Snake Killers Daughter
Anime movies: Ghost in the Shell (1 & 2), Nausicaa, Spirited Away, Escaflowne

  • Heroes

Stephen Hawking is a bloody genius. No words can describe what he is or what amazing things he's done for theoretical physics.

My grandmother was a Depression child with one pair of shoes to her name and two brothers to share meager meals with. She worked her happy little derriere through nursing school and school of anesthesia, and became among the first female CRNAs in the US. She stayed at the same hospital for a career of 33 years, retired as head of her department, and is living quite comfortably, I might add. She tought me everything I know. No, really. She's an amazing woman and a wonderful cook, and I hope to be like her someday.
