simakDialog founded by Indonesian pianist/keyboardist Riza Arshad along with its former drummer Arie Ayunir in 1993. Recent simakDialog personnel including guitarist Tohpati Ario, bassist Adhitya, kendangist (Sundanese drum) Endang Ramdan, kendangist Erlan Suwardana and kendangist/metal toys Cucu Kurnia.
simakDialog has present distinguish sounds and compositions through its last 3 records - the music that grows as a crossover between western and southeast music - Indonesia's rich archipelago rhythm base - western Java/Sundanese rhythm percussion in particular.
Recently they released their 5th album titled Demi Masa as its 2nd album distributed by Moonjune Records, New York.

Hey Riza! I don't know about the Coconut, really ;-) Last time I had a coconut it was giving me the runs badly... But what about some music? I really enjoyed the CDs you gave me and also the little session I was able to witness in your studio... We should come up with something!
Dear Friends, Well, it's been six months since my abdominal surgery, and finally the music is starting to flow again. I've written two new songs "Bridge Of Shadows" and something a little different for me called "Looking Glass Man"...my first song using a Strat. I've never owned a Stratocaster before, was always a Les Paul guy (still am). But my wife promised me a new Strat if I just acted brave; and survived the surgery of course. I guessed the Fender would influence me in some "twangy way", but I never imagined it would be a Johhny Cash way, (not that I'm complaining, always kind of liked him). So if you get the chance, please stop by and give them a listen. All my very best to you, and thanks for being friends through some really tough times for me, Your friend, David
Hello My Dear Friends!
Sorry I haven't been in touch for so long, but over the winter I had major abdominal surgery, and though recovery has been slow, it has been steady and I'm starting finally to feel like my old self again. For surviving my wife bought me a new Stratocaster that I hope to include on some new songs in the very near future. I hope all is well with you and that 2009 is bringing BIG things your way. I just wanted to stop by and say I'm still alive ....literally!
