Whispers alive in the night with a song
A thin fog of a distant hope unrealized
The wind whistling upon my flame
Drifting on the edge of reality
Simmers of a new life calling
If there was ever a time to speak up and bring love, kindness, and peace into the world, now is that time. Too much fear is all around us, and the challenge is to rise from it and express ourselves so that others might see that this fear is an illusion that strangles us, and keeps us down in a world of shadows when the light is actually all around us. A different life is waiting to be lived. Will you be one to hide or one to rise? That question is being asked of us every day, in every decision, and we can only hope that we choose to rise more often than we choose to hide.
This is the essence of the struggle in Horizons, a poetic experience in contrasts, alternating between moments of darkness and moments of inspiration, always reaching for the divine hand to pull one up out of their "dark night of the soul" into the awareness of the higher potential of living.

O Great Spirit, whose Voice I hear in the Winds, Hear me -- for I am small and weak: I need Your Strength and Wisdom. We're putting together a sort of dialogue/discussion piece to ask for feedback from folks and will send it over when we get it together. 'Til then, just hope life is a miracle each and every day.
Hey, we're having a gathering near Kansas City at Unity Village this weekend, and wanted to invite any of our friends in the area to feel free to drop in and visit. There will be workshops, discussion, even concerts in the evenings. Don't know if any of our friends live near there, but we'd love to see you if you can make it.
If you do come, mention you're with the Association for Light and Life on MySpace and you can come in without the registration fee as long as space is available.

Also, the group Common Ground will be performing in addition to the conference, at All Souls Unitarian (4501 Walnut) on Thursday at 7:30 pm and at Unity Village Chapel on Sunday at 1 pm. Most of us are locked down into this society. We're wage-slaves, prisoners of our own design, anchored, and robbed of our dreams.
We must dissent, we must rebel, we must disobey, we must ask questions, and we must wake up.
Look past the 'truth', journey down the rabbit hole, and journey with me to wherever me may go. Our world, our society, and our culture are broken.
Only we can set things right.
