About SIMIAN SPECIAL

Simian Special is a four piece West coast Canadiana art rock band in the vein of The Rheostatics and Big Wreck meets David Bowie and The Cure. We create stylish soaring melodies over pure driving rhythms that will stand the tests of time and industry! Forming the band in late fall 2007 / early 2008 the well versed members of Simian Special released their debut album in February 2008, entitled "The Cougar Stands It's Ground". They've gigged everywhere possible in the Lower Mainland and played a handful of summer festivals right out of the gate, winning over many strong new fans in the process.

Simian Special is proud to call Vancouver B.C. their home. We will release our sophomore album entitled "Hello In General" in summer 2009.
