Dan is the head instructor at SBJJ and is a brown belt in BJJ under Matt and Nick Serra. He was awarded his brown belt by Matt and Nick in May 2006 after having a very impressive run as a purple belt. Dan is a multiple time NAGA and Grappler’s Quest Champion, a Pan-Am medalist, and is undefeated in MMA/NHB. Dan has been RANKED top 3 in the country in his weight and belt for the last 6 years including 4 years in a row at #1. His competition experience is passed on to his students and as a result they compete at levels far above their experience. He currently cross trains his BJJ with judo under 4X Olympian Jimmy Pedro. Under Jimmy’s tutelage he is also preparing for the 2008 Olympics for judo being held in Beijing, China.
GUEST INSTRUCTORS:
The academy plays host to some of the biggest names in the sport today including Matt and Nick Serra, Renzo Gracie, Kenny Florian and others. SBJJ is proud to carry the SERRA BJJ flag and is making a name already on the competition circuit here in New England.
