I am working with various artists, and, as ever, my wife and I write English Folk/Gnawa fusion. I am always looking for musicians with energy to play with, in any style.

Simo Lagnawi has been in England since October 2008. He is a very versatile musician. Simo has been working on fusion for a long time, with many different international artists. He has fused Gnawa with Jazz, rock, reggae, blues, funk, african folk, roots, folk, afrobeat, triphop, electronic, and more. He loves taking Gnawa past it's traditional limitations, and creating what many would consider impossible.
He has also writes music for film, documentary and theatre. Aswell as having played in many places in Morocco, and with many musicians including the Moroccan National Orchestra, he has had 3 different bands, and played Gnawa with an Senegalese group. Simo also writes and plays music with his wife Suzi Hicks, they are currently working on an English folk/gnawa fusion album. There was a program made about him and his music shown on one of the main television channels recently RTM-1.
The New album with Mark Horwood, and Matt Gray will be out soon, it throws sacred music into the future.
Simo Lagnawi is a fantastic performer, he also dances, and plays the percussion. He has a magnetic energy, and a powerful force of spiritual connection with the music. He is very interested in meeting musicians, looking to make revolutionary fusion.
