SGFY started a few years ago by singer/songwriter Michael Frottage in Kansas City, MO. Michael Frottage did the solo circuit profusely with no ambitions of adding members to the one-man-band he had founded. After constant touring and jet-setting around the country with other bands Michael Frottage ran into Hal9000 Beers in colourful Colorado. They had a couple drinks and got to talking about playing music together one day. That was it and Michael Frottage relocated his act to the Pacific Northwest. Around a year later Hal9000 Beers thought of a career move from box making and packed up his 2 piece drum set in his backpack and hopped the train to Bremerton, Washington. Michael Frottage and Hal9000 Beers worked on new material in front of new audiences and in front of no audiences too. If playing music didn't get them where they are, who knows what did? With success comes constant rehearsal and these two musicians have been practicing and honing their skills on street corners and coffee shops near and far. SGFY recorded their 2007 debut album, "Intensity in Tent City", with Engineer/Producer Mike Herrera. With two recent tours on the west coast fueling this wild fire they will hit the studio in August to record their second album entitled "Even Punks Get The Blues". Michael Frottage and Hal9000 Beers will be joined by some of the area's finest musicians during their recording process with Greg Bennett and Mike Herrera at Monkey Trench Studios in Bremerton. SGFY plays everywhere all the time and that's the fun thing about it. You might not know where they are playing, what they are playing on or even what they're playing but, you will never see the same show twice! - Max Tungsten Rolling Stone Magazine
