“Onstage, Simon lets his soulful nylon strings & sensual, life affirming lyrics coax the audience into the uncertain future with all the strength & hope that love & music can provide” ( T. Marke 2008 )
Described as “edgy, soulful, and a mantra for the modern world”, Simon’s original slant on the roots/indie acoustic scene is gathering momentum and building towards the 2009 release of his debut solo album “Goonengerry to Degraves Street”.
This Independent artist is proving across Australia and Europe that his live shows are dynamic and sincere, with the right combination of infectious groove and powerful lyrics.
2008 saw a great response to the “Pleased to Meet You Tour“ with fellow acoustic soloists Jess Harlen and Travis Marke.
Simon toured Europe in 2007 & 2008 performing both solo shows and at Street Festivals in England, Ireland, Switzerland, Hungary, Germany and Spain.
Simon returned to Australia with a dynamic performance at Island Vibe Festival 2008, and wowed the crowd with a surprise set in the Woodford Folk Festival's famous Chai Tent. Other recent highlights include 2009’s Kuranda Roots Festival , and currently in Europe for shows in Paris , Berlin , and the 5th Barcelona International Street Music Festival.
