My music is leaning in a very Jazz/funk direction these days, all i can do is go with it!
The Cubist Funk is a musical project blending Funk, jazz, soul and rock. The material is the brainchild of songwriter/arranger Simon Bushby. Simon has been writing, performing and recording music for almost ten years. His musical influences include Tom waits, Steely Dan, Billy Joel, Rufus wainwright, Stevie Wonder, Queen, Bob Dylan and many others. Simon has recently put the finishing touches to a full length e.p. which was recorded in Ashtown studios with Tommy O Sullivan engineering, and mastered by Aidan Foley at Masterlabs. The e.p features contributions from Canada-based bass player Anthony Walsh, Limerick drummer Patrick Heffernan,Cork singer/songwriter LJ Devlin, Dublin vocalist Nicola McGowan and Gavin Kerins on saxophone. Thank you! It was painted by my dad. I'm trying to use more and more of his stuff as its so beautiful. He also did the "Charon" painting, which I just love. I am very very excited to hear the e.p. It was a lot of hard work over a long period of time when you think about it. I think it certainly paid off though. Don't be shy to send me some more of it if you can!!
Yes thats malaria but it does carry drunkiness, paranoia, rowdy behaviour and deceiving visions, especially when made by mexicans. They have no concept of portions, which is great when you are aware of it. But when your not..... My photos are currently being updated (whatever that means). Sometimes I just press buttons to see what they will do!
