Featuring two ex-members of UK metalcore boys Stampin’ Ground, it’s obvious from the off that Suicide Watch is going to take your fuckin’ head off. Influenced by old-school thrash, the quartet are ready to take their music back to the days when it was about the music and it was about how loud and fast your guitars were rather than how baggy your pants were and how cool your haircut was. With a debut album out now on Mausoleum Records, Suicide Watch are taking the metal scene full circle with this bruising thrash assault. Relentless and uncompromising are two words to describe both the band and the album as the quartet prepare to show the young pretenders how it is done. Having been around the metal, hardcore and punk scenes since way before Planet Loud got involved, you can only stand back and admire their dogged determination when they promise not to whore themselves out to the record industry. It’s impossible not to believe them as well because, one listen to their debut album and most industry big-wigs will be cowering in a corner shitting themselves.
