Influences	BIO "Simon Delay is actually a fashion designer, but started his music career in 1987 as a DJ for an associative radio. House music and its upbeat rhythms finish off his conversion to music. In time, he forms ephemeral bands in different genres, from black tempo and its percussion to ska-core and its hardcore guitars. As a bassist and live DJ, his world tours take him around the globe. In 1996 comes a revelation: he becomes a "sound designer", a career he develops as he goes and to his own specifications. His debut album drops in 1997 and his alter ego - Simon Delay - is created, allowing him to push himself outside the box. This first album is his consecration. A true stage beast, his live performances become legendary. He has a passion for finding rare gems in songs. His sophomore album, Long Bay, releases in 2000 and is an instant hit. More albums follow, each as successful. He becomes a concert hall owner and works with Julien Lourreau in jazz and as livehouse producers. Simon Delay makes a name for himself in sound design, through urban nightlife events and by creating ambiance in "chic" boutiques. He releases Bobo Mania in 2003 and Biarritz Mania in 2004. 2008 calls for a new album and a new tour, which takes him to Athens, Paris, Dublin, Tunis, Montreal, Oslow, Amsterdam... 2009 has only just begun, welcome..." Simon Delay est styliste mais fait ses débuts dans la musique en 1987 comme dj dans une radio associative. La house musique et ses enchainements tempo auront raison de lui. Il forme ensuite des groupes éphémères dans des styles variés allant du black tempo et ses percus au ska-core et ses guitares métal. Bassiste et Dj live-act émérite, il fait des tournées qui lui feront faire le tour du monde. En 1996, iL a le déclic : il devient "sound-designer", un métier qu'il se crée sur mesure ! En 1997, il sort son premier album et crée son alter ego –Simon Delay- qui lui permet de s’extravertir. La consécration arrive avec se premier album. Véritable bête de scène, ses lives deviennent légendaires. Il adore dénicher des perles rares dans la chanson: son deuxiéme CD, Baie Longue, sort en 2000 et connait un véritable plébiscite. Suivront d'autres volumes qui connaitront le même succès. Il devient propriétaire de salle de concerts et travaille avec julien Lourrau en jazz, mais aussi producteurs de livehouse. Simon Delay se fait connaître pour le "design sonore" de certaines soirées mondaines ainsi que pour "l'ambiance" de certaines boutiques "chic". Suivront en CD Bobo Mania en 2003, Biarritz Mania en 2004. En 2008, Simon Delay décide de mettre en route un nouvelle album et sa nouvelle tournée qui passe par Athénes, Paris, Dublin, Tunis, Montréal, oslow, Amsterdam... 2009 ne fait que commencer, welcome....
