Simone Welsh has a fresh approach to traditional Scottish music while remaining respectfully true to the genre’s roots.
She was born in the small mining village of Annbank on the West coast of Scotland and began playing the violin at the age of five.
She is currently working on her debut album “Diving for Pearls”, giving songs of war and tears written over a quarter of millennia ago a place in the 21st century with a mellow melancholic glow.
