All of the tracks uploaded onto this page were written and performed by me, the singing, the guitars, the bass, the drum programming, EXCEPT FOR:
AIN'T TALKING TO YOU, WHICH HAS REAL DRUMS ON IT, WHICH WERE EXPERTLY PLAYED BY MY GOOD BUDDY ADI WOOD, WHO IS NOW ONE OF THE BUSIEST PEOPLE I KNOW....DOWN TO HIS GREAT TALENT, AND ATTITUDE TO PLAYING.
AND
HIDE MYSELF IN YOU, WHICH HAS ORGAN ON IT, PLAYED BY ANOTHER GOOD BUDDY, GRAHAM TOONE, WHO CURRENTLY PLAYS WITH THE BIG BLUES TRIBE.
Influences
My favourite music includes: “Live At The Regal” by BB King, “Teasin’ You” by Snooks Eaglin, “Naturally” by JJ Cale, “Moonflower” by Santana, “Pay Before You Pump” by Al Anderson, “Soul Searchin’” by Ronnie Earl and The Broadcasters, “Copperhead Road” by Steve Earle, “Slow Turning” by John Hiatt, “Outward Bound” by Sonny Landreth, and pretty much anything which has Albert Lee on it. Another one of my favourite bands is Gov't Mule, who have a great guitarist and frontman in Warren Haynes. Los Lobos are another favourite band....just love their stuff. It seems wrong not to mention Stevie Ray Vaughan, as I can vividly remember the impact his music had on me the first time I heard it, the track was "Couldn't Stand The Weather" from the album of the same name, and it completely stopped me in my tracks......I just had to find out who it was, and find out more about him. It would also be very wrong not to mention Stevie Ray's older brother Jimmie Vaughan, formerly of the Texas Blues outfit, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, his playing is just as compelling as Stevie Ray's, but in a more laid back kind of way....just beautiful. This section of my page could keep going, but I guess I've got to stop somewhere!!! All creative talent and ability, in my opinion, is God given, so the ultimate influence is God himself....who is clever, creative beyond all imagining.....and just wonderful in every respect. He gets really bad press from a lot of quarters, but I must say I'm a fan.
Sounds Like
If I had to say who I sounded like guitar playing wise, then I guess there's shades of Albert Collins, Albert Lee, Snooks Eaglin, BB King, Al Anderson, Mississippi John Hurt to name but a few.
My main interests are: guitar playing, 5 string banjo, mandolin, bass, and drums. I play in a number of bands and duos in the Leicester area of England, and these are: “Dawson Smith And The Dissenters”, which is a blues / roots band playing music with such diverse influences as John Fogerty, John Hiatt, and Steve Earle. Dawson and I also play duo gigs on a semi regular basis, and “Blues House", which is Mick Ridgway (a Leicester blues legend), and me. I am aiming to do more solo acoustic work in the near future. Lest I forget, last but by no means least, I play guitar with another local Leicester blues legend, that is Tony Alles, he's like a brother to me, and we play blues in a variety of styles, but mostly it's funky, jazzy, and souly.
My preference for music that I listen to, and play, is that it has heart, soul, and no small measure of honesty, so I guess that’s my musical remit.

I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.

Thanks very much; always nice to get compliments/reassurance. So in that spirit, I really like the song I Took a Shot at Nothing and the mandolin on it's great!
Its been a while and we thought it was about time we updated you on what we've been up to. Our debut EP Little World is now available at our gigs and will soon be available from our myspace and facebook pages, you will also be able to download it from itunes, but we don't have a release date for this as yet.
To celebrate the fact that we have now reached 25,000 plays on myspace, we are giving you a free MP3 of Rockabye Baby. All you have to do is send your email address to queen.elvis@yahoo.ie and we will send it to you.
We have spent the last year rehearsing with a full band and are now ready to bring it on the road. You can get a look at us when we appear on Balcony TV this week with the full line up. We are currently taking bookings for gigs/concerts/festivals and can be contacted on the email above, or through our myspace and facebook pages.
Thankyou for your continued support in what has been a great year for us!
Today I would like to let you know about two print magazines in Germany I'm writing for.
"Living Line Dance", reporting about line dance and country music, and "Folk Magazine", reporting about folk and country music. The magazines are high respected in Europe. They offer you a good chance to publicize yourself in Europe and Germany.
For more information, please contact me at MySpace or send email to Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de with the headline "Advertise at Living Line Dance and Folk Magazine".
Ha ha, good to know that someone remembers Richard Butler! I don't think the kids in the audience know what I am talking about.
I am keen to start gigging in Leicester again - I played at the Magazine, Charlotte, Shed, Royal Mail etc in the nineties, but am out of touch with the Leicester scene. Any venues you can recommend for a half-hour slot rather than a three song open mic?
We have just uploaded some songs from our forthcoming album 'Kill or Cure' to our MySpace page and we also have a new download area at http://rockrecordsuk.co.uk/music.php from which all our music can be downloaded for free.
Thanks a lot if you get a chance to listen and hope you enjoy it :)
This years festival is headlined by Billy Bragg (Friday), Seth Lakeman (Sunday) and Peatbog Faeries (Saturday) with many more top artists also performing incl the award winning The Demon Barbers.
