This is the bit where I attempt to reveal myself to you, or at least make an effort to connect with anyone who (for reasons best known only to themselves) just might stumble across this page. I was born in Dorchester (Dorset, UK) and have lived in Germany for about seven years, Bristol for five years, but consider Portland my home? I currently live in Wyke Regis, Weymouth. I have done many things, most of which I am quite proud of. Amongst those things, I have worked as a professional musician, a civil servant and even a commissionaire, before ending up at Bournemouth University as a full time "mature" student studying for a degree in Psychology. I am a vegetarian, I have a dog called Frodo and I spend most of my time either reading, listening to music or trying to run/ruin my record label called Pink Hedghog. Have we connected yet?
Good to have you as our friend Mr Felton, appreciate what you do music wise and with Pink Hedgehog, thanks for the friendship hope you like what we do, cheers mk zero

Listen to your local or national radio, BBC or commercial. The likelihood is that any music you hear will only be those bands which have been signed to the big commercial labels who indirectly control many of the playlists.
If you ask local radio DJ's why they aren't playing music from the local bands who are packing out the music venues in your area, the reason they give is that they have no freedom to choose the music they play. Big industry buys control of playlists. Even the BBC marginalise independent music to late night slots and Radio 6. Local BBC radio doesn't even attempt to play local music.
This means that the really great bands you want to hear might never get a break or reach a wider audience.
