DJ, Producer, Remixing
Simon Joy is a multi-talented man with love and passion for music. He started playing instruments like the bass guitar, drums and piano early in his childhood and later combined his instrumental skills with DJing and producing. Due to many years of experience, he today is considered a professional DJ, remixer and producer which is proven by ecstatic crowds on the dance floor when he is spinning his sexy soulful beats.
In 1997 Simon Joy first appeared as a DJ on the German club scene with some classic house sets. After several years of DJing, he met Swiss DJ Kris Carter and they started a collaboration. From 1999 to 2004 Simon and Kris Carter worked together, eventually starting their own record label: FULL MOON CORP. The duo is famous for many amazing parties throughout Swiss clubs like Take 5, D Club, No Joke, Prestige and Cult, to just mention a few. They also started the well-known Full Moon Nights all over clubs in Switzerland featuring collaborations with DJs such as DJ Tremendo (Subliminal Record), Alex Natale (Peter Pan IT) , Manu from Newcastle, Christopher S. Jamie Lewis (Purple Music), Fafa Monteco (SuperFunk) and Aston Martinez (Defected Record).
From 2001 to 2002 Simon and Kris managed two clubs in Biel (Laundry Club) and Bern (Sirup Club) featuring club nights with international DJs and artists (France, Italy, UK, Germany, Turkey, USA...).In 2002, Simon and Kris quit the club management in order to focus on producing their own tracks, investing heavily in their own FMC studio and attending sound engineer school. After the WMC 2003 in Miami, Simon started remixing and producing new tracks changing his style to more soulful house music.
His success and his excellent musical taste have given him the chance to play at global events all over the world (Germany, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, France, Morocco, Italy...). At the moment, Simon is working on some production projects, records remixes and plans further events with Kris, Sergio N (Universal Music), Johnny House (Columbia), DJ Bigs (San Diego, USA) and Lionel Charlet Movies.
