Simon Kurrage has been involved with the London Club scene for over a decade, working as both a DJ and event producer as well as staging his own unique arts and music events (Urban Hearts, Snoggle).
Not wanting to be pigeon holed into any genre Simon Kurrage is known to play right across the board. Originally inspired by the Notorious DJ Face(copyrite/defected) back in the early 90’s, Kurrage grew up on a mix of Hip-Hop and Rave Music and he would often be found dancing the night away at Rage @ Heaven, the Pirate Club@ the Rocket, Biology, Telepathy, World Dance, Awol, Raindance, The Brain, The Wag and all the rest….
Getting his first play out experience in the common room at Richmond college (1990-92) Simon Kurrage became fast friends with Karl Gonzalez (Soleal/Players) and following this became completely immersed in the club culture of the times. Simon Kurrage hooked up with Mr Shiver, D-Mentia, Dj Thor and J1200 back in 1997 when the Snoggle Ear Infection was first formed for the first internet pirate station, ‘Interface’. With the addition of Mad Mike Mastomic this talented group of DJs remains the core of Size Doesn’t Matter, constantly evolving and bringing London the finest in underground music and specialist nights across town.
Continually expanding his repertoire Simon Kurrage with Size Doesn’t Matter have formed close links with the likes of Stuart Geddes and Rob(Mulletover), Stuart Patterson and Raoul Gallowy(faith), Shaun Roberts(fabric), Tad aka Dr Teeth(C.O.T.S.), Aaron Newton Aka Trigga(Strictlyleft), Nat- Illumine(Undercover), Zeal (Abuze London), Timo Garcia (Berwick St), Danny Clark and Toby Tobias (LateNightAudio), Jo Upton(vitalic), Stefan B(lastFM), Kat(Aphrodisiacs), Femi(Young Disciples), Roy The Roach(urban), Nathan Lee, Dave Elkabaz (Milk N Two Sugar’s), Simon Morell(D.D.D) Paddy Freeform(Universal Vibes), Darko Apko(strangeWorlds), J-1200 (Tweak) Rich NXT (D-Late) Jafar (Artizan)and many more..(sorry if i forgot you!!)
Over the past Five years Kurrage has worked tirelesly in event production and promotions (whist raising a child!), and currently is a free lance production manager for Strictly Left, Mulletover, StrangeWorlds, and Aphrodisiacs, helping them to bring to London the finest in Leftfield Parties all year round…
Most recently Kurrage has started to produce music of his own with Musical maestro Jamie Somerville under the title of Gruber and Shnorkle!!!! A finely tuned blend of Deep House, Minimal Soul and Deep Tek!!!... So please watch that space for the sounds of the "Nacht Winkle Studio" and "Gruber and Shnorkle".....

Whilst the media reported MASS RIOTING, Camp Climate just two minutes down the road tells a different story. I was there and recorded some footage on my stills camera...

iBreaks is back in 2009 and what a treat we have for you to kick off what should be a really interesting one for the breakbeat scene.
Rennie Pilgrem’s Remix Competition winners new duo BSD kick off their Breakbeat career with this massive EP “Intoxikated Muzik”. A Real Musical journey which takes a really solid and original approach to the Breaks sounds. Challenging sounds, with a clear common point, positive vibe and both great dancing and listening tunes all the way down.
This is one of the extremely exciting additions iBreaks Records signed for 2009 which altogether sums up a very young team of shockingly talented producers with new and fresh Breakbeat sounds called to be at the very top of the genre…
Tracks like “Intoxicated Music” “Funkdation” or “Get Hype on This” are just a clear statement of a new force coming strong … that force is B-S-D

Hi
Latest massive release on iBreaks BASS
Here we have the 5th issue of iBreaks Bass, welcoming onboard to MKM & GBX with this their first release under the iBreaks group…. And what a package…!! Surely this is the biggest, bassier, heavier, dancier release on the label so far with 2 ultra-large-full-fat enormous bass rollers.
“I Don’t think So” could prove one of the biggest tracks of 2008, and is one of those straight to the point full on Breakbeat mayhem, with no time to rest and just huge elements loaded with a ridiculous amount of energy and power. This track scared the hell out of us the first time we played it loud after being offered to us from the Brazilian duo… is heavy!!!
“Xtra Xtra” is by no means the little brother of “I Don’t Think So”. The energy levels are also well up to the top, although this time with a bit of a techier approach to the huge amounts of sub bass…
As a whole what we believe is the biggest release under the label, and one of the most powerful on iBreaks over all..
General Midi: Loving This.... Proper Fuckin Breakbeat!!
Far Too Loud: Big Tunes, I Dont Think So Gettin Full Support from us!!
Available @ Beatport, Breakbeatonline, Juno, Trackitdown and others...
Check them out on www. ibreaks. co. uk
