Influences	I dunno... I would have thought that it would be for the listener to form an opinion about how I have been influenced. Let’s face it, we are all guilty of decribing a band or person’s music by using comparisons with other, better known bands or people. Otherwise, I guess I’m influenced by situations that occur in my life and experiances that I go through. Oh, and then sometimes I just hear something that someone else has created and like it so much that I simply rip it off...! Isn’t that supposed to be the highest form of flattery? Discuss.
Sounds Like	Me mostly... then just occasionally it sounds like someone else, but I can never quite think who it sounds like, and then I sounds like me again...so it doesn’t really matter after all...

About Simon Lane

Simon Lane was born in 1965. His interest in music began at an early age. At four years old he received his first musical instrument - a set of bongos! At sixteen he started to learn some chords on a borrowed accoustic convinced that it would make him irresistable to the fairer sex... He may not have got the girls, but it was at that time that he started to write. At eighteen he joined his first band, playing rhythm guitar in a nameless outfit that never gigged. Soon after came the mighty Throaties - a covers band who rocked Hampshire like it had never been rocked before, or since! Over the years Simon has performed at all the usual venues - clubs, pubs, weddings... even a funeral! Now settled in Poole, Dorset with his wife Ali and son George, Simon plays in a local blues/rock band (myspace.com/swampfish) and works in the building trade. Enjoy the tunes, and thanks for listening... P.S. I wrote the above in the third person...it gives the illusion that other people have an opinion...maybe you do - maybe you don't...
