I am an avid science fiction fan (especially Transformers, Star Trek and Star Wars), and I am interested in computing/gaming, web design, music, wildlife, wrestling, basketball, cooking and a range of other interests. Mainly though, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my wife Trish and our daughter Hannah.
Music
I love a wide range of music, ranging from rock to electronic, retro video game remixes, and everything in between! Favourite bands and artists right now include S.P.O.C.K, Queen, Metallica, Machinae Supremacy, Press Play On Tape, Jean-Michel Jarre, Bjorn Lynne and far too many more to mention here!!
Movies
Again pretty varied although a strong sci-fi emphasis. Favourites have to include all the Star Wars movies, some of the Star Trek ones, both of the Blues Brothers movies and pretty much everything by Jackie Chan.
Television
A mix really but I try to watch most Transformers shows, Star Trek, WWE, Heroes, poker (yeah, sad I know but it's strangely compelling), wildlife documentaries but definitely NOT so-called reality shows!
Books
Don't get as much time to read as I'd like to so I mainly read Transformers graphic novels (you see a pattern here) and... in a typically geek fashion - tech manuals! *hides*
Heroes
No "heroes" as such but I admire people who are particularly strong achievers in their chosen field, anyone with real talent and of course the woman in my life who I am madly in love with - Trish!
I'm Simon (as if you couldn't guess) and I was born in Birmingham (well West Bromwich really!) in 1971. I'm married to the most wonderful woman in the world Trish, and live in Lichfield with our our eight year-old daughter who's an adorable pain-in-the-arse sometimes!
Amongst other things I'm a freelance writer and I have been writing on an amateur basis since 1989 and professionally since 1994 on a range of subjects.
Away from writing, I am an avid science fiction fan, and I
am interested in computing/gaming, web design, music, wildlife as you'll see from my photos on here (with a particular passion for pandas - giant and red), wrestling, basketball, cooking and a range of other interests.
From a gaming point of view, while I love modern gaming, especially on the Playstation 3, I'm more into retro gaming including old consoles and computers, my favourites being the Commodore 64 (and the Commodore 64 music scene) and Amiga, PS2, and PC Engine. I've also got a fondness for retro-style indie games on the PC - you can check out some of my favourites over at Tuna Snax and Retro 64 and one of my favourite developers here Tuna Technologies.
One of the main things I do in my spare time is jointly run Europe's largest Transformers convention, Auto Assembly, with my best friend Sven Harvey. It's a tough job but someone's got to do it! :P You can find out more about it here and the next one is taking place on 15th-16th August 2009
More to follow...!
Who I'd like to meet: Want to meet up with a load of old friends again who I haven't seen for a long time (and this is going to seem like name-dropping!) - Wally Wingert, Neil Kaplan (although we did meet up again not long ago!), David Kaye.
If you see the music section, I'm a big fan of S.P.O.CK - only ever met them once, and never seen them in concert (not easy when they've only been to the UK a couple of times) and I'd do anything to make that happen!
I'm a massive fan of Adam West's Batman and would love the chance to meet him as well, plus just the chance to meet new friends and any friends I have outside the UK who I've never had the chance to meet up with yet.
Anyone else? Well, even though he lived in the UK for 10 years, I never had the chance to meet up with one of my friends, Bjorn Lynne... and the most annoying thing was that there was one time where we were both at the same CD launch party in Birmingham and didn't know until afterwards(!) so I'd love to meet Bjorn some day!
You Are Animal
A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.
But you sure can beat a good drum.
"Kill! Kill!"

I hope you don't mind me taking this opportunity to let you know that produced a brand new music track in 5.1 SURROUND which is now available to download from my web site, for free, in WMA (Windows Media Audio v10) and in AC3 (Dolby Digital) surround music format. The track is a 14-minute ambient rock space journey that sounds pretty cool in surround audio, and I hope you'll enjoy it!
Hey dude! I picked up PCZone, and Starcraft 2 looks very very very nice =D http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v110/Ohhrahk/?action=view¤t=CaCGenTankArmy.jpg ^^ My army on C&C Generals
*stressed* Flipping idiots on the school forum. Someone told me to kill myself, I flipped out (because of Brett) and some little pansy said he probably didn't die. So I refered him to the topic. That guy is gonna end up in a bad position if he carries on.
Hey! Well, I spoke to my mum and she was like "how are you gonna get there, etc", so I think it's a No from her. But, I'll speak to my dad later, see if he has any ideas =]
Seeing as how we are MySpace friends, I just wanted to let you know that I have released a new CD today, called Undercover. I composed and produced it together with my good buddy Adam Skorupa. It's a 14-track CD with Spy/Thriller/Crime soundtrack type music. You can listen to the whole CD from start to finish on this page on my site: http://www.lynnemusic.com/undercover.html. So anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it :-) and please tell your friends.
