Simon² is a mix of electronica and tech-house who, with his roots based in hip hop, never fails to amaze audiences with his technically-skilled and innovative sets.
At the tender age of 16 Simon² was touring Germany with a range of national jazz-musicians, and contributed his scratch capabilities to various Hip-Hop, Jazz- and Rock compilations. It was at the same time that the funk and hip-hop obsessed kid started off in local venues, causing attention with his very own style.
His sets fuse his broad-ranged music interests into one unique form, transforming the decks into instruments themselves to create an extended sphere of music. The passive form of the DJ only reproducing songs is rejected in favour of a more proactive stance towards record input and speaker output.
It is 2006, and Simon², always an enthusiast of the electronic musics 4/4 Bassdrum, has established himself as resident dj at Germanys nationwide and famous clubnight „Loonyland“. Playing alongside several high-calibre djs, has made him a household name in Germany in no time at all.
Constantly looking for challenges and ways to further develop and realise his music ambitions, Simon is taking on new projects for the future and is currently putting together his ideas in the record studio.
It is 2008 and Simon² produced a track together with Tocadisco for its new Album "Solo", which has been released on Superstar. Shortly after he came up with a feature with Dj Delicious for the Label Phunkwerk, which shows up with a smooth remix by the Belgian producer Kolombo. His first solo single „Birdface“ on the Düsseldorf based label Kittball will be released in January 2009.

Im SchweineFloor oben beginnt CATYA (elektro bunker, flirting with sounds) den Abend mit schwoofigem, elektronischem zum Eintanzen. Abgelöst von IRWIN LESCHET der Musik mit Seele und Eiern nachlegt. Und wir freuen uns mal wieder auf Besuch von der LOONYLAND - Simon übernimmt von Irwin die Decks und besorgt es dem Dancefloor mal so richtig...
