Im a Graphic Designer and Musician, currently living, working and making music in London. I have been making electronic music for about the last 6 years now, coming from a band and guitar based background to turning to more electronic and sampled based music after being inspired by the music and approach of DJ Shadow and Four Tet. I began making my music just with a guitar, delay pedal, making melodies and drum patterns on an old casio keyboard and recording on a analogue four track. Since then my set up hasnt changed much(!) I still like to keep that creative spontiunity and produce my music live - using only a drum machine and sampler.
The music I make is quite varied, from very downtempo electronica to upbeat electro with the tracks I have up here being a selection that I have made over the last few years. In 2005 I released my first independent EP release : Old & New E.P, Which is a limited edition of 85 CDs, each individually stitched and everyone being different! ( these are available at Rough Trade and HI Neon in brick lane) I am especially interested in musical packing being both a designer and musician and somehow its sites like this that take alot of those asthetics away - but its still a great way to promote yourself and get your music heard!
I have a few music projects on right now.. one with the wonderful Ms Inga-lill, which is quite chilled, downtempo electronica. But my main project is with my band BLITZ & THE SHEETS, which is an eclectic mix of electro/dance/pop/.. best described on our profile as 'sugar coated filth, best listened to while stuffing your face into a bowl of sweets!' We are currently recording a demo and usually play at least 1 gig a month and have more coming up so keep ya eyes out!
I have just made a new folder on here with some of my non-commercial design work that I have created over the last few years whilst not working on the more corporate side of things at work. I hope you enjoy what you see and hear and if want to know more about me, my music or design, i'd love to hear from you!
