Manic Street Preachers, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Faith No More, Blood Red Shoes, Muse, Michael Jackson, Amy MacDonald, Laura Marling, CSS, Hip-Hop like Will Smith, Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, and life in general.

Not many people i know use it anymore, i only use it for music now (as is the case with others i know)...as for promoting your music well, i guess you could add artists that are similar to yourself and hope people who like them check you out, other than that, im no expert unfortunately.
