About me:
I’m Simon Wood and I’m an award winning thriller, crime and horror author.
Over the last nine years, I’ve had over 150 short stories and articles
published. My short fiction has appeared in a number “Best of” anthologies
and I'm a frequent contributor to Writer’s Digest.
I’m the author of WORKING STIFFS, DRAGGED INTO DARKNESS and ACCIDENTS WAITING TO HAPPEN and PAYING THE PIPER. My current book is WE ALL FALL DOWN. I write horror under the pen name of Simon Janus and my first horror novella, THE SCRUBS. My next book will be the thriller, DISGRUNTLED, will hit stores next April.
Fictionwise.com is currently reprinting a number of short stories.
Originally from England, I moved to the US in ’98. My wife, Julie,
is American, but I don’t hold it against her. Our lives are dominated
by a longhaired dachshund, Royston, and four cats, Chewie, Chase, Bug and Tegan. In my
past, I was a competitive racecar driver and I’m a licensed pilot. My
mum likes that I’ve taken to writing, as she think it’s the safest thing I’ve
done. However, I still cycle and I travel to the far flung corners of
the world, having recently returned from Latin America. I'm dyslexic and I'm sure there are rules against me writing for a living, but I never understood the memo.
