About me:

Hi, I'm Henry Hallett, bringing you 'Simple Folk'... simple, straight forward contemporary Folk music on 91.3 KXCI Tucson (live webstreaming at www.kxci.org), Sundays 2:00 to 3:00 PM. From Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger of the 40's and 50's, right on up to those newly discoverd artists looming on the Folk Horizon, be it traditional Folk, progressive Folk, aternative Folk, Folk Blues, Folk Rock, Political Folk, international Folk, Americana, Roots and all points in between. Hope you'll tune in... maybe we can stir up some memories of the past while discovering the 'Here And Now' of today's Folk scene. We also feature live musical guests, both local artists as well as talented musicians of the Folk genre as they're passing and touring through the Tucson region. Sunday November 15th will be the last broadcast of the 'Simple Folk' program. Join us for this closer as we feature Joshua James and his Band as our live special guests out of KXCI's Studio 2A to promote his appearance that evening at Tucson's 'Club Congress'. I will be moving into a new role as co-host of KXCI's 'Acoustic Alternative' (a 20+ year program on KXCI) beginning Saturday November 21st from 8:00 to 10:00 AM Mountain Time with live webstreaming at www.kxci.org. I'd like to thank all those that have tuned in and shared their Sunday afternoons with me as well as the myriad of special guest Artists whom have been kind enough to grace the 'Simple Folk' program with interviews and performnces at the KXCI Studios over the last three years.
