I hate this part. I've been influenced by every note of music I've ever heard, and I can't remember it all. I wouldn't want to give special credit to just those that come to mind at the present moment.
I am the sole member of Average Bear.
I've been an artist of some form or another since before I can remember. I picked up music around the age of twelve. At fourteen I started playing guitar and writing songs. The years that have passed since then have seasoned my work into what it is now. I am thrilled to be as active with music as I am now because there were times in the past when I thought I would never get to live my dream of being a productive musician/artist. As it is, I am deeply gratified by my work and lifestyle.
My style is rooted in a wide range of persuasions. I approach songwriting and performance from an improvisational standpoint, and incorporate structure and lyrical elements as a finalizing consideration. The end result is often an engaging, easy to follow song that doesn't bore the hell out of you.
With each of the posted songs I have included a blog that describes my thoughts and feelings about the song, and facts about the process of creating it. If you're interested in what you hear you might enjoy reading them.
More songs are on the way. I am currently working on sixteen new songs, and there are a million more in my noggin. Hopefully in the not so distant future I will produce a full length master quality album. That's my next big goal and I'm getting there faster than I would have previously expected, so fans be ready.

That's a rock&roll song in my book. I can tell you mean what your saying, because you are telling about what you know. Thats why I love music when it's honest it makes that connection.
