Patrick Langlois (also credited as "Patrick C. Cunningham") is a friend of the band who is responsible for merchandising (he is sometimes seen running the "merch stand"), and also acts as webmaster, photographer, and videographer.
Langlois has appeared in every Simple Plan video to date, except for "Crazy". His appearances are often painful: He was kicked in the crotch in "I'd Do Anything", had a basket ball dropped on him and his apartment destroyed in "Addicted", and was knocked down by the band in "Don't Wanna Think About You". In "When I'm Gone," he is on a magazine cover, having a bottle smashed out of his hand by a tennis ball hit by Lefebvre. He is also seen giving a thumbs up in "Perfect", as a valet in "Shut Up", in the crowd in the gym in "I'm Just a Kid", getting out of a car in "Welcome to My Life", and as an emergency services worker in "Untitled (How Could This Happen To Me?)", a video in which his pseudonym was used as the name of the drunk driver.

4. WHO INTRODUCED YOU TO SIMPLE PLAN OR HOW DID YOU FIRST HEAR ABOUT THEM? I was at FYE and I saw their CD in Oct 2002 and I listened to them and LOVED their energy. I saw them with Avril May of the following year and even though they opened for her, i thought they were way cooler and had more energy for their show.
5. A STRAIGHT FORWARD QUESTION, WHY DO YOU LIKE THEM? I love Simple Plan because their music has changed me. Everytime I feel something, they always have a song that understands exactly what I'm going through and even when I was younger. The song "One Day" I used to blast when my mother was annoying me. I've watched them "grow up" and they haven't changed in the sense that their fans are still and always will be number one. I like how they're silly but really care about music, themselves, their family and friends and their fans. I like how amazingly easy it is to meet them because they are so sweet, they always stop outside and give you whatever you need; be an autograph, a hug, a picture. ANYTHING. They are the sweetest guys and their music is just amazing.
6. HAVE SIMPLE PLAN HELPED YOU THROUGH ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE?
IF SO HOW? They haven't helped me through anything major, like I've been depressed but they have helped me when I was feeling angry at my mom, or upset at my dad, or in love but they broke my heart. SP has always been there without knowing it.
7. OUT OF ALL THREE STUDIO ALBUMS, 2 DVDS, 1 LIVE IN CONCERT DVD, 1 LP AND ALL THE SPECIAL EDITON CD'S WHICH IS YOUR ALL TIME FAVOURITE THAT GETS PLAYED SO MUCH ITS WEARING OUT? The DVD that has been played out is definitely the "A Big Package For You." I play it almost every morning, it gets me PUMPED. I've played it so much that the ending won't even show. and I can recite more than half of the DVD. The CD that gets played the most is definitely tied between No Pads, No Helmets Just "Bizzles" (haha David) and Simple Plan, their newest one. The newest one is so amazingly good because the way the music and lyrics come together are just incredible. And the first one is so good because they were MY age when they made that record. and it's incredible that they feel the way I do.
8. OUT OF EVERY SONG EVER PRODUCED BY SIMPLE PLAN WHICH IS YOUR MOST FAVOURITE THAT YOU CAN RELATE TO AND WHY? Addicted I can relate to to the point. I went out with this guy, and we broke up after 2 months because he couldnt give me the time I deserved (thats what he said). But even after we broke up, I thought he still liked me and we kept flirting back and forth. Six months later, he took me aside and told me the reason we broke up was because his feelings had changed. but when he broke up with me, he didnt tell me that. and everything i thought was shattered. and to listen to those lyrics, i tried everything and more to get him to think about me more, to get back together, to make him miss me and HE STILL LEFT. He actually moved an hour away. And I really CANT forget what he said. I had fallen so hard for him, for more than a year and hearing that crushed me completely. Its great that Pierre and the boys wrote something so perfect to my situation. It's creepy.
9. ARE YOU KNOW AROUND YOUR TOWN AS THE SIMPLE PLAN FREAK AND YOU HAVE A SPECIAL LOVE FOR THE BOYS HOME TOWN MONTREAL? THEN TELL US AN INTERESTINGLY FUNNY STORY INVOLVING YOU AND YOUR EXTRA SPECIAL!!! LOVE FOR SIMPLE PLAN. haha if you go to my job, every single person will tell you me and Laura are insane for SP. We drove 2 hours to see them, we were willing to drive 4, we're going to drive 8 and i was willing to drive 15 to Arkansas. Yes, I love Canada and always have, even before I knew SP. And I visited there a couple years ago, its amazing. Meeting them is amazing but seeing them play live is what it's all about. I don't like the band just because they're good looking (which they are) but because of the music and talent that they have!! A funny story...haha When I met David, I was like "we're from Jersey!! we're from Jersey! 2 hours away!!" and he was like "i know how far Jersey is .." lmao I was like ooh oops! We made a shirt for the fanclub for Patrick and when me and Laura went to the signing (which we were late to, they were just leaving) Pierre was almsot the last one out and he was leaving and Laura was like "Pierre! WAIT!" and hes like "I gotta goo.." and shes like "STOP! WE'RE NOT DONE!" and he looked surprised lolol and she's like "we made this shirt for patrick cuz we're cool like that" and hes like "okay.." and we're like "can you make sure you give it to him?" and he said "sure thing" another funny story is we saw Seb in the store and Laura scared him, she was like "thats definitely (and then screamed this next part) SEBASTIEN!!!!" and he jumped poor thing lolol

3. It all started last year, when we had to do a project on a Canadian band, I wasn’t really into music so I asked my bro, what’s a good Canadian band? And he was like don’t do simple plan, they suck! So I did simple plan and have loved them ever since
4.I love simple plan because I can relate to most of their songs, it makes me feel good so that I know I’m not the only one that feels that way, and it has kept me alive.

Simple Plan has helped me in my everyday life because well, I am going through a tough time at school, my principal even called my parents and said we need to talk, Bri isn’t happy at school, so simple plan helps me because I watch their interviews and it makes me happy, also, I know how Pierre feels about jay having lymphoma, 3 years ago, my uncle died of cancer. It was really hard on me and my family

THE HISTORY OF THE BAND THAT IS....SIMPLE PLAN
(~NOTE~ This Biography was written by me not taken from any website PLEASE DO NOT STEAL!)
Simple Plan started in 1995...with the formation of the infamous band Reset . Which Pierre Bouvier and Chuck Comeau were a part of along with Adrien White. Reset toured with bands such as MXPX, Ten Foot Pole and Face to Face, only touring around Canada with Pierre's dad driving them from gig to gig, Reset only gained modest popularity. Their one and only debut album 'No worries' was released in 1997.
Soon after the album was released Chuck Comeau left the band to pursue his college career. 2 years after he started college he met Jean-Francois (Jeff) Stinco and Sebastien Lefebvre. Soon after meeting the 3 started writing and playing music together.
In the late months of 1999 Comeau and Bouvier reaqainted at none other then a Sugar Ray concert.
Soon after they had reaqainted Bouvier left Reset also to join Comeau.
Reset then replaced Bouvier with David Desrosiers, but he was soon asked to join the already foursome (Bouvier, Comeau, Stinco and Lefebvre) he then, too left Reset.
Before David joined Bouvier was doubling as the bands front man and bass player, but with Desrosiers now apart of the band it gave Bouvier a chance to concentrate on the singing.
Now for the question so many people ask where did the name come from? How did those 5 guys come up with the name Simple Plan?
Well its not quite as straight forward as people may think, for you see the guys have all given various responses to this question, a couple of them being that they had a liking for the movie 'A Simple Plan', Although a few of the guys suggested that the name came about because the band was their simple plan to avoid getting a real job, although note the name Simple Plan was only suppose to be temporary, but they could just never think of anything better! And also with upcoming shows for the fresh new band they needed a name and fast.
The boys released their first studio album 'No pads, No Helmets...Just Balls' (2002- 2004).
Their first studio album, although they were still an "Underground" band as you may wish to call them, this first album still led to them having 4 hit singles 'I'd do anything' 'I'm Just a Kid' 'Addicted' and 'Perfect'.
Simple Plan stated that they were aiming for a 'Pure Pop Punk' record. With the album coming out in many different versions, with slighly different track listings on each version.
For example in the U.S. their verison contained to extra songs 'Grow Up' and 'My Christmas List'. While in the UK their version contained extra songs 'American Jesus' and also 2 music videos 'I'd do anything' and I'm Just a Kid'.
The record also contained special guest vocal appearences from Blink 182's front man and guitarist Mark Hoppus in the song 'I'd Do Anything' and Joel Madden from Good Charlotte in 'You Don't Mean Anything'.
Big news and great times struck for the band in 2003 when they were asked to be a headliner for the Vans Warped Tour. That very same year they were the opening act for Avril Lavigne 'Try To Shut Me Up' tour.
In additions to the healding and opening for Avril Lavigne, Simple Plan have also been opening acts for Punk/Rock band Green Day and Pop/Punk band Good Charlotte.
Simple Plan were finally starting to get their name out their with their ever growing stretch of World Wide Fans.
In 2004 they released their second studio album 'Still Not Gettin any...'
(2004-2006).
Their Second studio album gave them 4 four new hits 'Welcome to My Life' 'Shut Up' 'Untitled (AKA How could this happen to me) and 'Crazy'.
As mentioned above when recording 'No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls' Simple Plan stated that they were aiming for a "Pure Pop Punk" record. This time however while recording 'Still Not Gettin Any..." the boys stated that they did not want to limit themselves to just a "Pure Punk Genre", But rather let themselves write "Good Music".
This new album showed a dramatic change in the boys style of music, the lyrics having a deeper and stronger meaning.
Although fans were pleased to hear that their traditional downbeat lyrics with upbeat music hadn't changed, but managed to slightly transcend from the standard "Pop/Punk" genre.
Although many of the tracks on this CD are aimed at carry the feeling of teen angst, that proberly being the most noticable in the song 'I'm Just a Kid' from their first album 'No Pads, No Helmets...Just balls'.
This new album tends to lean more towards slightly deeper and more mature lyrical themes, as well as leading away from the Pure Pop-Punk style of their last album.
Later in 2005 Simple Plan released a live in concert DVD "MTV Hard Rock Live"
which contained songs from both previous albums.
They released this album in 2 editions, the standard edition and the fan packed editon, The standard editon included; audio of the whole performance, an acoustic version of Crazy, two live videos of the performance of the first two songs "Jump" and "Shut Up!", and a small booklet of pictures of the performance.
The Fan Packed editon which contained audio and video of the whole performance in 5.1 surround sound, three acoustic tracks for "Crazy", "Welcome To My Life", and "Perfect", a 32-page color tour book, and an exclusive Simple Plan patch and pin.
The Next studio album to be released was their self-titled album 'Simple Plan' (Febuary 2006-2008).
Before the band had officially begun recording their third studio album
this was stated in an earlier write up on Simple Plan;
"the band has not undertaken any significant tours, and have begun work on their third CD. The working titles of three new songs are "Take My Hand", "Never Should've Let You Go," and "Forever." In Bouvier's Myspace blog, he describes a fourth new song ("Time to Say Goodbye") and admits to writer's block in the preparation of the third CD. As of April 2007, the band had still not announced the completion of the writing(primarily by Bouvier and Comeau)."
Now that the album is finally finished and has been released. Their third studio album has been said to have sold over 2 million copies world wide.
They started off doing Promotional tours going around Canada, US, UK and Australia. Making appearences on Reality shows such as 'So You Think You Can Dance' 'Channel V' 'MTV' and 'Sunrise Morning News Program'.
The boys are now doing a world wide tour which as unofficially been named the "Come see how good looking we are...Tour" (named by Sebastien and Patrick on Man of The Hour.
they have been back to Canada, US, UK, Brazil, Germany, Mexico and they are said to be coming back to Australia in Spring.
