The Simple History

In 1999 best friends Nick and Sean decided that they too wanted a place to party, Sean being the bad ass dj and nick being the ever friendly promoter, they got a venue, invited all of their friends and simple was born!

Over the last 8 years Simple has built a strong reputation as one of Oxford's most credible underground house nights. In the beginning they had a string of hugely successful bank holiday parties at Bar Baby in Oxford, they then moved to The Coven, hosting room 2 on Saturdays. Simple established its first regular monthly event in 2001, at The Cellar in Oxford and after two years of top notch Saturday nights, they moved venue to the slightly larger Backroom @ The Bully on Cowley Road in October 2003.

Now simple can be found on the first Saturday of the month which has come to be known, quite simply, as ..Simple Saturday...

Over the last couple of years headliners have been amazing and with so much good talent out there we plan for it to get even better!
