hey so good news from the AF! i got the job operations intelligence. i'm going to go ahead and take it, signing the papers today, and leaving for basic jan 5th. super excited and stoked i'm finally on my way :)
I hope all is well in Alaska. How is Mo and everyone?
Everything's pretty cool here. Business is booming for me, and I'm seeing a new girl. Training is also better than ever!
I've been hella busy though, and I never managed to finish reinstalling WoW. I still really miss you guys, and I'd love to chat to you and Mo again. It makes me sad that I don't anymore, really. Does Mo check his email much? If he does, I'll write to him.
Anyway, I hope you've got some interesting news for me, and that you guys are happy.
Hey, if I can't hit you up on WoW, maybe vent? Give me the info, and try to stand by for me. That's if you're interested.
I'll cya later kat. Look forward to hearing back from you.
Crazy southern weather as usual. One day it's warm and dry, the next it's cold and wet. I can't complain, though, except that I wish it was windy more often here.
Speaking of paranoia though, just this morning a maintenance dude swung by our place to deliver my new keys. Jeff, in one of his many moments of genius, shoved the cat in the bathroom and turned the shower on to make it sound like someone was in there before opening the door for our guy. All evidence erased in the space of a few seconds. It was great. XD
She's an american shorthair, pretty much the best kind of cat we could possibly get considering Jeff's technically allergic. Oops.
Well, everything's more expensive up there, but jobs up there also pay more by a long shot. e_e I definitely can't blame you for being attached to that house, though. It's a nice place.
If all else fails would you feel comfortable living in an apartment complex? They're really not so bad for the most part. Only thing is if it's not too much cheaper than renting a house, or they have you pay extravagant amounts for your ferrets, it might not be worth it.
(Although on that note, don't tell anyone, but we never paid the deposit for our lovely cat. We just snuck her in one day. Oops. :3)
Rofl. And you didn't believe me about Nick all that time, did you? :P
The new place is... tolerable. The location couldn't be worse -- smack in the middle of the Bible Belt in the state with the second highest employment rate and a governor who turned down the state's portion of the stimulus plan -- but the apartment itself has cheap rent and (mostly) quiet neighbours.
Life is markedly better, aside from aforementioned unemployment struggles. We're somehow making it from month to month between us and with significant help from my parents when needed. Frankly, I'm just thankful that it hasn't put a rift in my relationship, we don't have debt collectors snapping at our heels like many people, and we all have good health.
To his credit, Obama at least has begun to mention bankruptcy in regards to the American auto industry. Of course, that's -after- several billion dollars flushed down the drain.
And call me a pessimist, but I really don't see any way anything good could come out of G20.
Hrm. Well that gives me time to keep reading the newspapers at work, and see if they mention anything about this. Because gosh, that's total B.S. How they can do this stuff is beyond me. Well, I read an article about growing tomatoes. I'm definitely giving that a shot.
