About me:
Sims Music began in 1988 as a retail musical instrument store in Gainesville Florida. Jeff Sims has been a musician for 40 years and toured the southeast U.S. in the late 70's in a regianal band called The Desperados. Jeff teamed up with long-time friend Stan Lynch, who has had a stellar career as a founding member of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers,member of the R&R Hall Of Fame,#1 Hit Songwriter,record producer etc.....,to form the current partnership at Sims Music.
People often ask about the gold & platinum records on the wall and the MTV Moonman in the display counter at Sims Music. Well, they are not there to show off, they are there to show our customers that we have been there, and we can offer up some valuable advise to up and coming musicians about musicianship and various instruments and equipment.
Who I'd like to meet: Customers who need great instruments and equipment. We can also repair your instrument in a professional and timely manner.
