Since Yesterday was established by Burak Kilic and Can Gucyener back in 2002 in Ankara, Turkey. After some member changes, the most recent line-up came to life with Mansur Asrar and Can Güçyener as the vocals, Burak Kiliç and Cem Saydam on the guitars, Yigit Üney on bass guitar and Oktay Fistik on the drums. The band released 4 demos and 2 split-demos before departing ways with Can Gucyener just before the start of the recording process of the debut album in Fall 2008. The album, named “The Artificial Truth” is produced, mixed, mastered and recorded by Will Putney from The Machine Shop, who has previously worked with the likes of Lamb Of God, Haste The Day, Everytime I Die, Armor For Sleep, Clutch, Coal Chamber, Eighteen Visions, King Crimson, Reign Supreme and Vision Of Disorder, with additional recording and production by Erkan Tatoglu from Midas’in Kulakligi Studios. The artwork of the album is done by the one and only Derek Hess, who has previously done wonders for bands like Unearth, In Flames, Shai Hulud, Sepultura, Converge, Deftones and Poison The Well. The band’s 7th release, on their 7th year, which is to be their debut album, will be released in 2009.
