About me:

autobiography of an evolving experimental pedagogical enigma
I was born back in the day as an undergraduate class at a pretty good West Coast University called SDSU--much in the news these days for lawyers, drugs, guns, and money. I have a thing for cameras and movies and spend too much time in the dark watching things happen. I am a trifle sentimental and have been known to shed a tear or two at the movies. My main incarnation used to be found at SINEMADNESS --a webpage that features updates on my class assignments along with student art, photography and webdesign; another is here SEDUCTIVE_HALLUCINATION. Spring 2007 I went by the name of OBSCENE MACHINE and masqueraded as a film and literature course focused on Ethnic American discourse... Last summer of 2007, I was a London University class on Film and Cultural Studies.. in the UK and this Fall I underwent a metamorphosis into Naked Surrealism. In May 2008 and I evolved again, ending my days as a Comparative Literature 210 class! The course description is here. Early summer 2008, I changed again: this time into a Media and Cultural Studies class at UC Riverside (you can peek here!). In Fall 2008, I returned to SDSU as an experimental English 220: Introduction to Literature section entitled Naked Mirrors and Fractured Souls! See it online (here!) Now, in Spring 2009, my latest transformation! A film and literature class, English 493, focused on, of all things, SEX!

I want to take your course again.
    You know what, professor.
I was thinking about Gilbert Hernandez's human diastrophism and I don't have a clue what he is doing? is he reappropriating latino representation?

"There are just too many people scared of having genitals," professor and chair of English and comparative literature at SDSU William Nericcio said. "Admittedly, most people shouldn't be parading body parts about - but for those select few who sport handsome choice parts - why not?"

here's that shakira video. they disabled the embedding. :(

if anyone hates on comparative literature. they're out of it. Shakira is a product of sweet hybridity. and she audited a history class at UCLA in 2007 under her middle and last name. hahahah.
she told the professor she was visiting from Colombia!
