Songstress Mary Elizabeth Bell created Sinfinis to make you uncomfortable. Like a mythical siren, she reels you in with haunting vocals and smashes you against the proverbial rocks with thoughtful, often unsettling lyrics. Sinfinis songs broach precarious subjects such as abortion, infidelity, murder, narcissism, nihilism, patriotism, free will, intrinsic depravity, temptation, and remorse. Prepare for an assault on your conscience.

Musical arrangements are alternately aggressive and melodic. Each song is quite different from the next, often challenging the boundaries of conventional structure and style.

Sinfinis takes the stage in various forms, sometimes going "Bare" for an acoustic, a cappella, avant-garde adventure, performing stripped-down versions with unique instrumentation and ethereal harmonies, and sometimes going more heavily electronic for a grittier, more industrial sound. You may see a synth-based electronica show with Jason Cook on keys and programming, or a more downtempo trip-hop set with Kai Kennedy using a beautiful blend of samples and live instruments. A touch of jazz and a dash of whimsy, mixed with sultry, brooding beats, fill the senses with torment and delight. Always expect something unexpected.
