About Me:
My name’s Andrea. I’m from Sunderland in the North East of England.
I've been a professional singer for nearly 15 years.
In that time I've worked solo, in duos and trios and with bands, singing many different styles of music. I've fronted the band "Laughing Jacks" since 1999. We make a living playing mostly at weddings

My main influences as a singer include Dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell and Alison Krauss. I also love the music of Tom Waits, Randy Newman, Todd Rundgren and James Taylor.
I've recently formed my own band and I'm currently half way through recording an album of original music. The new songs are heavily influenced by Country music. I’ve been writing and recording with a fantastic local guitarist/songwriter called Jim Hornsby. Jim has his own band “Diesel Therapy” www.dieseltherapy.com. The album is being launched on October 18th 2008. You can hear excerpts of the tracks that we've nearly finished on this page. Please let me know what you think of them.
As well as my band gigs listed above, I also sing at the "Living Room" in Newcastle every Thursday night with my vocal/piano duo. I also play semi regular duo gigs at Amore restaurant in Sunderland on Tuesday nights (0191 565 0077).
