關於我:
Hi! I'm Greg. I love to sing, and I have many videos of myself doing just that, posted on YouTube at this address: http://www.youtube.com/singingkid
I've also embedded some of my videos from YouTube, below. I hope you'll like!!! :)
___________________________________________________________
"Far Away Places" Here I am singing a song that has always been one of my favorites. Written by Joan Whitney and Alex Kramer, it was a huge hit for Bing Crosby in 1948. I'm backed by the same magical Ken Darby vocal arrangement that was used in Bing's version. I hope you'll enjoy my take on this classic song!
___________________________________________________________
"If You Go Away" (Widescreen Version) This is a beautiful, and heartbreaking song, written by Jacques Brel, and Rod McKuen. I'm backed by one of Don Costa's most haunting orchestrations. The same one used on Frank Sinatra's classic recording, which can be found on his Reprise CD, "My Way". I hope you'll enjoy my version of this classic song. :)
___________________________________________________________
"Artificial Flowers" Here I am singing one of my favorite Bobby Darin songs. A true classic. This one was written by Jerry Bock, and Sheldon Harnick, and recorded by Darin in 1960. The amazing orchestration is by Richard Behrke. I hope you'll enjoy my version of it! :)
___________________________________________________________
"Come Fly With Me!" Here I am singing one of Frank Sinatra's most popular songs. Written by Sammy Cahn, and Jimmy Van Heusen in 1957, this version has the Count Basie/Quincy Jones treatment that was used in the classic 1966 Reprise album, "Sinatra At The Sands". I hope you'll like!!!
P.S.: That's Claude Rains playing the piano behind me! Lol!!! ;)
___________________________________________________________
"Who Takes Care Of The Caretaker's Daughter?" Alex (BlueEyes0770 over on YouTube), and I are back with another great duet! It's another fun one, and a classic that Bobby Darin and Johnny Mercer first recorded back in 1961.
We hope you'll enjoy our version of it!!! :)
___________________________________________________________
"I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day" Here is my Christmas card to everyone. It's a wonderful song, based on the poem "Christmas Bells," composed by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in 1864. I hope you'll enjoy it!
Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to all!!!
Greg :))
__________________________________________________________
"If I Had My Druthers" Here I am, singing a duet with my good buddy Alex (BlueEyes0770 over on YouTube). It's our third duet, and a real fun one, too! It's a great song that was originally written for the 1956 Broadway show Li'l Abner. We hope you'll enjoy our version!!! :)
_______________________________________________________
"Someone To Watch Over Me" Here I am in California, at Frank Sinatra's Twin Palms Estate (wink, wink), singing one of the greatest standards of all time. Words, and music by the legendary George, and Ira Gershwin, and the arrangement is by the amazing Nelson Riddle. I hope you'll like my version of this classic song!!! :)
___________________________________________________________
"I Wanna Be Around" Here I am, high above Manhattan, at the top of the Empire State Building, singing a song that was a big hit for Tony Bennett in 1963. Frank Sinatra released his own great version a year later. The words, and music are by Johnny Mercer, based on an idea by Sadie Vimmerstedt. I hope you'll enjoy my version of this all time classic! Oh, and don't look down! Lol!!! ;)
___________________________________________________________
"Two Of A Kind" Here I am again with Alex (aka BlueEyes0770 on YouTube), this time singing a Bobby Darin, Johnny Mercer classic. I hope you'll enjoy our version of this great song! :)
___________________________________________________________
"(Duet With Singingkid) Me And My Shadow"
Here I am singing, along with my buddy Alex (aka BlueEyes0770 on YouTube), a Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. classic. I hope you'll enjoy our version of it! As Frank would say, "It's A Gasser!" :)
___________________________________________________________
"Softly, As I Leave You" Here I am singing a song that was a big hit for Matt Monro in 1962, and Frank Sinatra in 1964. I hope you enjoy my version of this beautiful song! :)
___________________________________________________________
"Beyond the Sea" Here I am, once again on "The Ed Sullivan Show", this time in 1965, when I was 2, and in living colour now, singing a song that was a huge hit for another hero of mine, Bobby Darin, in 1959. It was originally written as "La Mer", by legendary entertainer Charles Trenet in 1943. I hope you like my version of this classic song!!! :)
___________________________________________________________
"Hey! Jealous Lover" Here I am singing a classic Sinatra song that Sinatra himself didn't like very much, to say the least, but I loved his recording of the song, and decided to sing a cover of it on "The Ed Sullivan Show", way back in 1959, which is strange, because I was born in 1963. Go figure. Anyway, I hope you like my version of this song, which was captured on kinescope, and seen here for the first time in like, I dunno, a thousand years maybe! Enjoy!!! :)
___________________________________________________________
"Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" Here I am singing a song that was a huge hit for Cher in 1966. Written by Sonny Bono, these days it's more associated with Nancy Sinatra, since the re-release of her haunting 1966 cover used on the "Kill Bill" soundtrack. In 1981, her father, along with Gordon Jenkins made a recording of the song that might be considered to be one of Sinatra's finest. In 2007, I gave the song a try, and I hope you feel I did it justice. :)
___________________________________________________________
"Tell Her (You Love Her Each Day)" Here I am singing a song that was a hit for Frank Sinatra in 1965. It's a pretty love song with a good message. I'm backed by the same arrangement used in Sinatra's recording, complete with the 1960's rock and roll triplets that were first made popular by Dean Martin's "Everybody Loves Somebody". I hope you'll like my version of this song!
Oh, and this video is shot in Super-Ultra Panavistavision!!! More curtains for your viewing enjoyment. Yay!!! :)
___________________________________________________________
"I Won't Dance" Here I am singing a song first made popular my Fred Astaire, and Ginger Rogers in the 1935 movie "Roberta", and was to become well known to Frank Sinatra's fans as being a true Sinatra classic. I'm backed by Count Basie's amazing band playing Neil Hefti's brilliant arrangement. The same one used for Frank's second recording of the song, only this one is played at a faster tempo. I hope you'll like my version of it! :)
___________________________________________________________
"Nice 'N' Easy" Here I am singing one of Frank Sinatra's most famous songs, backed by Nelson Riddle's classic arrangement. I hope you'll like my version of it! :)
___________________________________________________________
"Nevertheless (I'm In Love With You)" Here I am singing another Sinatra classic, backed by Nelson Riddle's wonderful orchestration. I hope you'll like my version of it. I know, I need a haircut. Lol!
___________________________________________________________
"Here's That Rainy Day" Here I am singing one of Sinatra's all time classic torch songs. I hope you'll like my version of it. :)
___________________________________________________________
"Let Me Sing And I'm Happy" Here I am singing a wonderful song, written especially for another hero of mine, Al Jolson, by Irving Berlin, that says it all for all singers. I hope you like my version of it. :)
___________________________________________________________
"Stay With Me" (Theme From "The Cardinal") Here I am singing another lesser known Sinatra song that is also one of my favorites. Hope you'll like my version of it. :)
___________________________________________________________
"King Of The Road" This is my version of the Roger Miller classic, backed by a great instrumental from Dean Martin's version. I hope you like! :)
